Ace of Disks

Start that new project now!  I know it’s just the beginning and you can hardly see how it’s going to manifest, but manifest it will.  The Ace of Disks is the seed that begins all new physical realities.

Is it a new job?  A novel approach to an old one?  Trying to get a project off the ground?  Starting a new workout or eating regime? It doesn’t matter if you don’t have all the details yet. What’s important right now is to start working.  Do it with the confidence that it’s going to succeed – in the real world.

All great trips require a first step. This is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.  Take the step and start your journey to prosperity.

Take Control of the Game

November 15th, 2010 § 1 comment § permalink

I’m not sure exactly what this is about, but I just love the video!

It seems that a French company called Arcane Prod is making a short Tarot themed film and they’re looking for particpants like actors, extras and technicians. I’m guessing that you have to be in France to take part.

The YouTube description says they’re reclaiming the Tarot Marseille and interpreting the game of life. 22 people, lives and destinies interacting like the cards. .

It looks like fun. And the song’s great too.

Queen of Wands

Be yourself and be it fully.  This is a day for you to shine.  You know yourself and you’ve been true to your soul.  It’s always worth it and now you’re remembering why.

As you harness your energy to create your will, do so with compassion.  Remember what you suffered to get to your present state.  Have compassion for those that are still struggling.  They can use your inspiration, but remember your strength. Be careful not to burn them.

Take pride in your self and your work, but don’t get carried away.  You’re most beautiful when you’re humble, while letting your fire soar.

Psychic Spared Death Sentence

November 14th, 2010 § 1 comment § permalink

Good news. The Saudi Arabian Supreme Court has refused to ratify the death sentence of Lebanese psychic, Ali Sibat. He had been convicted of practicing witchcraft and sentenced to death last November.

Prior to his arrest, Sibat was a psychic talk-show host on Lebanese satellite TV. He took calls, told fortunes and gave advice. Though legal in Lebanon, such activities are illegal in Saudi Arabia. He never did a show from Saudi Arabia, but in 2008 he was arrested there while on a pilgrimage to the holy city of Medina.

This past Thursday, a three-judge panel ruled that the death sentence was inappropriate because there was no proof that others were harmed as a result of his actions. His case is to be retried in a Medina court and the judges recommended that the sentence be commuted and Sibat deported.

Malcolm Smart, director of Amnesty International’s Middle East and North Africa programme, said in a statement this week,

“The Supreme Court’s decision is a welcome step and may lead to Ali Hussain Sibat’s no longer facing the death penalty. However, we continue to urge that he be immediately released as he was convicted solely for the peaceful exercise of his right to freedom of expression.”

I agree. May Ali Sibat be returned home safe and soon.

Prince of Swords

It’s a day of dynamic action.  You know what you want to do, you know what you need to do and you probably know how to do it.  So that’s right – just go ahead and make it happen.  Your mind’s working overtime and at lightning speed.  Flow with this powerful energy and charge towards you goals.

You might find it difficult to focus on just one issue. Two or three different ideas or projects are dragging you every which way.  Don’t worry.   Do what you can and focus on what’s in front of you when it’s in front of you.  Reign your mind in. One thing at a time and it will all get done.

And as always – remember to play nice.

Niki de Saint Phalle's Tarot Garden

November 13th, 2010 § 1 comment § permalink

And speaking of Tarot places to visit in Europe. If you happen to be near the town of Capalbio in Tuscany, Italy, go see Niki de Saint Phalle’s Tarot Garden.

This incredible artist passed on in 2002, but the fantastical mosaic garden she created is still there, a wonder for Tarot lovers everywhere. Twenty-two gigantic sculptures, all inspired by the archetypes of the Tarot deck. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Some of the sculptures are little buildings you can walk into, like the mirrored Temperance, and the one bedroom Empress flat.

One bosom is a kitchen, the other a bedroom. You can sit on her back and look out to the Mediterranean. Niki de Saint Phalle lived in it while she was building the garden. What a dream!

You can see it here in this video.

And here’s a slideshow of the whole park. I don’t know the people pictured, but they seem like a lovely family.

What a magical place. Thank you Niki de Saint Phalle!

What is Midrash? It’s the stories in and around the cards. As Rachel herself explains, “In some ways, the idea of odd interpretations is a midrash idea, that is, meanings that are not part of the original design or concepts, but are a meaningful and valuable extension.”

It’s going to be brilliant. Don’t miss it!

2 of Swords

This is a day to take your time and think things through – calmly and quietly. Trust your inner voice and let silence be your friend. There’s probably a lot of emotion behind your thoughts these days. Try to keep balance.

Make sure you’re not overthinking things. It’s all about listening to both your logic and your intuition. Both have something to say to you right now. Try not to let your emotions sweep you away or your thoughts crush you down. You’ll know what to do when you need to do it. No need to act right now, just sit.

Mental peace is the energy you’ll discover in your quietude. Keep still. Keep calm. Your thoughts may be heavy, but you’re more than strong enough to hold them.

TarotHaven – Mechelen, Belgium

November 12th, 2010 § 1 comment § permalink

While floating around the internet, I came across these videos from a Tarot museum in Belgium. It turns out they’re from a place called TarotHaven, created by the designer of the Cosmic Egg Tarot, Guido Gillabel.

Gillabel started the museum in 2001 in a small building by his home near the city of Mechelen, Belgium. He has over 1000 decks on display and all sorts of other incredible Tarot items. Eggs, socks, thimbles. Mannequins dressed as Tarot figures. It’s incredible.

If you’re anywhere near Mechelen, go see it!

9 of Cups

What a wonderful day. You feel open and loving and willing to let the world know – at least if they ask. You might not feel like running out and embracing everyone you see, but there’s a sense of contentment and well-being that’s impossible to ignore. This is an excellent time to enjoy and share. Be generous with your feelings. There’s really nothing to fear in letting people know you care.

There’s a good chance that you’ve just gotten through some murky emotions and aren’t quite ready to be completely open yet. That’s okay, you don’t have to be. Give as you can and laugh out loud as much as possible, even when you’re alone. It may have been some time since you’ve felt this good. Enjoy. You deserve it.
