Tarot Growth Years

A while ago, I posted a piece on how to determine your Soul and Personality Cards. Today we’re looking at Tarot Growth Years.

With a little basic addition, you can figure out which Tarot card represents the year you’re in – or any year you’d like to look at. The energy carried by that particular Tarot archetype is the energy that will be dominant throughout the year being examined.

Each Tarot Growth Year covers the period from one birthday to the next.  So if your birthday is July 26th, your Tarot Growth Year would go from July 26th through July 25th the next year.

Each year has at least one shadow symbol.  These are energies that further influence your Tarot Growth Year.

To determine what Tarot Growth Year you are in, add the day and month your were born to the year you’d like to look at. Take that total and add all the numbers in a row. If the sum is more than 22, add together the resulting numbers.

Don’t be afraid of the math – it’s really quite easy. Here are some examples:

Let’s say your birthday is December 12th and you’d like to look at the year between your birthday in 2006 and your birthday in 2007 –

12 + 12 + 2006 = 2030
2 + 0 + 3 + 0 = 5
Your Tarot Growth card for 2006/2007 would be #5 – The Hierophant

Let’s say your birthday is April 15th and you’d like to look back to see what was up in 1999 –

4 +15 + 1999 = 2018
2 + 0 + 1 + 8 = 11
Your Tarot Growth card for 1999/2000 would have been #11 – Strength

7 of Disks

Today you might find yourself simply working and waiting. You’ve been trying hard but it probably feels like there’s little to show for it.  Keep your chin up!  You are actively creating change in your life, but it takes time.

Try not to get down on yourself while the process continues.  Commitment means sticking through the dull, tough times to reach your goal.  You’re well on your way and it would be a shame not to keep going.  In fact, the hardest part now is not to give up for fear of failure.

There’s still work ahead, but you’re going in the right direction.  Keep plugging away and you will succeed.
