In Tarot, the Suit of Cups typically represents feelings and emotionality.
Characters from the Cup Court cards are often described as sensitive and nurturing, dreamy, and artistic. They flow with the moods around them, intuitively connecting with their environment.
The Suit of Swords, on the other hand, is much more analytic and rational.
Characters from the Sword Court cards are known for their scientific thinking, clarity of mind, and straightforward manner. They’re interested in knowing why things are as they are, and enjoy logically investigating the world around them.
Of course, both personality types appreciate beauty, but sometimes the rational Sword-types are given short-shrift when it comes to such appreciation.

Empress as Devil
Venus moves into Capricorn today and will stay there until February 2nd.
From a Tarot perspective, this transit would be like the Empress is dressed in the Devil’s clothing. Hairy and winged, she’s trying out a darker look.
Venus in Capricorn, or the Empress in the Devil’s clothing is a time of creative intensity and physical manifestation.
Focus on getting things done and making them real, but do so with compassion for yourself and others.
Pushing through a task without connecting to it on an emotional level, or with an eye to the beautiful, will only lessen the value of what you create.
Celebrate and love with passion, but try not to chain yourself to anything for too long.

You’ve worked hard for your keep, with discipline and perseverance. Physically, some important goals are finally being achieved.
You’re moving towards a place where you feel more at ease, towards a practical stability. The fruits of your labour can now be recognized and finally enjoyed.
