Having just posted about psychics, frauds, and the law in New York State on Tuesday, it’s kind of funny that I came across this video today.
It’s a short, silent Harold Lloyd movie from 1918 called ‘Are Crooks Dishonest?’
Harold Lloyd and Snub Pollard play two con artists who try to pull a fast one on a fake medium named Miss Goulash, and her fake professor father.
The clever Miss Goulash is played by Bebe Daniels, and she’s fabulous.
The movie doesn’t do anything to help the image of mediums, in fact, just the opposite. But it’s still funny.
