Romanian Flag
Romanian Fortune Tellers have something to celebrate this new year.
As of January 1st, Romania has legally recognized Fortune Telling and Astrology as legitimate professions.
Also added to the ‘personal services’ list are butlers, driving instructors and embalmers. Talk about an odd mix.
There’s still some question as to whether Fortune Tellers will have to pay taxes on their services.
A bill to require that was squashed last fall. Apparently, senators were concerned they were going to be cursed.

Are you having a hard time making a decision, maybe trouble moving forward? Are you blaming yourself and everybody else for your emotional problems? It might be a little tough right now but don’t give up. Try to pull yourself together and start making some choices. Don’t waste your time worrying about what anyone else is doing. Concentrate instead on getting a grip on yourself.
What do you really want next? Think about it clearly and with as much focus as you can muster. Once you finally choose, it’s going to be a lot easier. Wallowing in misery or hiding in whatever escape you feel most comfortable in won’t help for much longer. In fact, it’s likely to bring you down instead. Pull up those boot straps and decide what’s next.
The only real way to feel better is to start taking action. So snap out of it and get moving, you’ve got lots to do.

Dance and rejoice! You deserve to celebrate after a long journey. A phase in your life is coming to a close – it’s big but not scary. This is a good day to reflect on what’s been happening in your life over the last long while. Where were your successes and what would you rather leave behind? How did all the little stories turn into a whole big narrative?
Review, laugh and maybe even cry, but don’t carry old burdens with you going forward. Be free and open and willing to be vulnerable. You’ve done what you can. It’s time now to simply enjoy your own little slice of the universe. You’ll have plenty of time to plan your next step tomorrow.

Robert Swiryn
It’s a brand new year and Beyond Worlds is ready to get thing started.
Our first guest of 2011 is Robert Swiryn, author of The Secret Tarot: How the Story of the Cathars was Concealed in the Tarot of Marseilles.
Swiryn’s book looks at the background of the Cathars and the rapidly changing medieval world they inhabited, focusing especially on the political and religious powers of the time. What’s most unique about Swiryn’s work though, is how he’s placed the Tarot of Marseille within this historical context.
Secret of the Tarot
Swiryn believes that the Marseille Tarot provides a visual account of the personalities, events and spiritual ideals of the Cathar faithful. In his view, the cards not only store the religious philosophy, but the political history of this heretical Christian sect as well.

What choices are you being asked to make at this time? Look them squarely in the face and choose. If you can’t choose now, when do you think you can? At least decide that. Ask yourself what will bring you closer to your own truth – a union of mind, body and soul.
You’re sharp as a tack today. Take advantage of the energy to decide what needs deciding. You can do it. How will you get to your next step if you don’t?

Creative vision, a fiery temperament, inspirational thinking – it could be an exciting day. You have the capacity to focus your passionate energy into something constructive. If it’s been difficult to get going with an enterprise that really matters to your soul, this is a great day to clear through the cobwebs. Take your fire and run with it.
But don’t forget to enjoy your strength wisely. No one likes a tyrant. Get to work on your goal, but don’t assume that everyone else is going to follow your lead. They might be feeling a lot like you are today and are probably looking for some followers themselves.
