Not that I thought I was the only one, but now I’m sure that other people are pulling cards on the news as much as I am.
Tarot Politico is a regular blogger for the Huffington Post who uses her Tarot cards to get to the heart of today’s political issues.
She’s an intuitive from Georgetown, who’s been reading cards since the nineties, and involved in politics her whole life.
The piece I just read was a reading on Ron Paul and his place in the Republican establishment. It was fascinating, and I thought very insightful both politically and from a Tarot point of view.
If you’re interested in this sort of stuff, visit the Tarot Politico blog. I think it’s great, and just love when people use the cards this way.
The flame has been ignited and there’s a new feeling floating around. This is a day to let inspiration lead the way.
Throw out your old excuses and start something you really care about. Passion and fire are what motivates the soul and it’s time to listen to yours.
You might not yet know what’s different but you know your old way of doing things is no longer possible. A new spirit has been planted and you can probably feel the excitement beginning to build.
Whatever it is that moves you with enthusiasm should be your starting point. Being true to your spirit isn’t being selfish. It’s what makes you fully human.
According to the Boston Herald, seven Boston psychic businesses were asked to appear before the city Licensing Board last week, after being cited for license violations.
To obtain a psychic business license in Boston, the applicant must prove to the city that they are registered voters and that they have not been convicted of any state or federal crimes.
They must also prove that not only their landlord approves of their business, but also those residents who might live or work on either side.
Psychic businesses are also required to clearly list their services, and how much each will cost.
I’m not sure how the meeting went, or what specific violations each of the businesses had, but if I learn more, I’ll let you know.
The Moon moves into Taurus today and stays there until Wednesday.
If you look at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Hierophant. She’s sitting before two acolytes and sharing the secrets she usually guards.
The Moon in Taurus, or High Priestess in the Hierophant’s clothes, is a time of spiritual and emotional certitude.
There’s a sense that the truth can be explained, understood and incorporated into daily life. Rules can and should be followed.
Instead of trying to force others to recognize what you know to be certain, try using this time to simply share your emotional, intellectual and spiritual perceptions.
Celebrate the diversity of spirit in our world, while figuring out for yourself what rules, spiritual or otherwise, work best for you.
This is a good day to give your spirit some serious attention. Take a little time by yourself to think about what it is that you believe. What do you think of the world and your place in it? What ultimately gives your life meaning?
It’s also a good time right now to pay attention to the messages other people have been sending you. Let yourself absorb the world around you without feeling the need to jump in right away and take action. This is a better time to sit and receive than to act.
Observe, listen and think about what it is you’re doing. Through reflection you’ll start to see all sides. Through this wider perspective you’ll find the priorities and direction that can help you on your path.
I’ve posted before about some guys riding bicycles down a mountain and how they reminded me of the Fool card in the Tarot.
Well today I have another example, almost just like it, but not quite. In this one the lone rider is on a motorbike and the mountain is covered in snow.
He literally rides along the icy precipice as if it’s the most natural thing in the world.
Like the Fool from the card, he’s sure he’s going to be okay, even as he heads towards the edge of a cliff. His only concern is finding something new and being free.
Fortunately, the rider in the video is safe, and never takes the Fool’s leap.
And though I think he’s crazy, I have to admit, the view from the ledge is incredible.
It’s a day to dissolve the fog and start looking at things with fresh and honest eyes. With a commitment to clarity, new ideas and a new sense of authority will be close on the horizon.
Take things in hand and energetically start slicing through any fuzziness you’ve not wanted to look past till now. Are you happy with what you’re seeing? If yes – go forward with strength. If not, figure out what you actually want, re-direct yourself towards it and go forward with strength.
In either case, you need to see things for what they really are before you can intelligently decide what your next step might be. This is no time to fool yourself. It’s a time to take charge, be realistic and be strong.
Emotional renewal is the name of the game today. A new way of feeling about something and/or somebody is about to emerge. Perhaps you’re feeling it already – it’s like that first hint of spring or when a magnolia tree finally blossoms after a long cold winter.
Joy and hope are in the air and accessible to you. Throw away any gloom you’ve been dragging around and wake up to the inspiration of postive emotions. There’s a sense that anything can happen and it’s probably going to be good. Be receptive to the love that’s around you and give it back in kind.
