The Moon moved into Libra today, and will stay there until Friday.
Looking at this transit through the lens of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is wearing Justice’s clothing. She takes on the mantle of the Karmic Decider.
With the High Priestess as Justice, or the Moon in Libra, we might be required to face up to something and decide.
Our emotions will demand respect. If we’ve leaned too far back or forward, we’ll probably find ourselves moving just as dramatically the other way.
It can be a slightly challenging period, perhaps a little manic. But by the time it’s done, something is likely to have been decided upon.
Don’t be alarmed by conflicting emotions. They’re there because you can see both sides. It’s not good enough though to just acknowledge them and walk away.
During this transit you’re being asked to take a stand one way or another. And you’ve got the wisdom and power to do so.
Today’s themes are balance and justice. It might be time to stand up or into your own authority by being strong, sure and most importantly, just. This isn’t the time to play around and think you’ll get away with not doing your share. On the other hand, if you do the work required, the Justice energy is happy to reward you.
Have you been playing fair? It’s not so much about the mundane rules as it is about the bigger universal justice. And it’s not necessarily about ‘work’ per se, but rather the energies that you’ve been putting out there. Are you speaking up for what you believe in? Are you taking responsibility for your own life? Do you help others as you might expect them to help you?
What you send out is what you’re likely to get back. This is karma in action and it’s generally quite profound. On days when the Justice card appears, the karmic force is typically more obvious than usual. Look around and see if you can find it.
Take time to rebalance yourself, and if possible, find some time to get out into nature. It usually puts things into perspective pretty fast. Think carefully about your next move. It’s what you’ve already done that has brought you to where you are now. What you do next will determine what you’ll be reaping in your future. Try to make it something good for everyone.
All of them were put together from actual postcards, trade cards, or ads from the turn of the 20th century. And they’re amazing.
Marcia proves that Tarot symbols are hiding everywhere. None of the images she chose were originally meant to be Tarot cards, but all of them made the transition with little effort.
The Picture Postcard Tarot and Victorian Trade Card Tarot were out of print for a while, but Marcia’s made a limited second run of both, and they’re available now through her website.
I just ordered a Picture Postcard deck for myself and can’t wait till it gets here. If you’re interested, you should get one soon. They’re going to go fast.
Emotional renewal is the name of the game today. A new way of feeling about something and/or somebody is about to emerge. Perhaps you’re feeling it already – it’s like that first hint of spring or when a magnolia tree finally blossoms after a long cold winter.
Joy and hope are in the air and accessible to you. Throw away any gloom you’ve been dragging around and wake up to the inspiration of postive emotions. There’s a sense that anything can happen and it’s probably going to be good. Be receptive to the love that’s around you and give it back in kind.
I was walking through the park on the weekend when I came across a these Spirit Dolls floating around under a big old tree.
They were put up by a group of art campers calling themselves Guerilla 12.
The figures are meant to represent their personalities and they chose this particular tree because they visit it often and wanted to show their appreciation.
Guerilla 12 has to be one of the most adorable art collectives ever. I love their installation.
The Moon moves into Virgo today and will be there until Wednesday.
From a Tarot perspective, you might think of this transit as the High Priestess wearing the Hermit’s clothes. She’s putting on her cowl.
The Moon in Virgo, or High Priestess in the Hermit’s clothing, is a time for practical, quiet reflection. Seeking the advice of an expert, and listening carefully to what they have to say could be worthwhile.
Or maybe someone will be asking you for your advice.
Your home is more important now than the outside world. Start thinking how to make it more practical. You might not be ready to do the work just yet, but this is a great time to plan.
Emotionally, it’s a time of calm. Perfect for listening and reflecting rather than acting out in passion. Take your time. There’s no rush.
Study, organization, contemplation, solitude, emotional self-reflection. Don’t be afraid to be alone right now. There’s lot’s to do on your own.
