It’s not a Tarot about potatoes, though I might like that as well, but rather a Tarot deck made with potatoes … and old cardboard boxes, paint, and the arts & crafts knowhow of Mike Parkes.

Translated into Tarot cards, this transit would be like the High Priestess is wearing Strength’s clothing. She’s thrown off her heavy cape and is spending some time outside with her lion.
The Moon in Leo, or High Priestess in Strength’s clothing is potentially a time of emotional power. Something beautiful that’s usually under wraps can finally be revealed.
The silence is broken. Quiet wisdom and passion can be united. During this time, it might be difficult to keep your ideas to yourself. But why should you?

Emotional renewal is the name of the game today. A new way of feeling about something and/or somebody is about to emerge. Perhaps you’re feeling it already – it’s like that first hint of spring or when a magnolia tree finally blossoms after a long cold winter.
Joy and hope are in the air and accessible to you. Throw away any gloom you’ve been dragging around and wake up to the inspiration of postive emotions. There’s a sense that anything can happen and it’s probably going to be good. Be receptive to the love that’s around you and give it back in kind.
The New Tarot

There have been a number of new Tarot Kickstarter projects lately, and today I’m writing about another one.
It’s called The New Tarot and was designed by Warren Tusk and illustrated by Leslie Minnis.
What’s particularly interesting about this deck is that the creators don’t consider it just another version of the traditional Tarot, but rather as a sequel, or maybe a Tarot Pt. 2.
The New Tarot examines what might happen after the Fool graduates through the enlightenment of the World card. It looks at where he goes once he gets out into the ‘real world’ so to speak.
Tusk describes his deck as being ‘calibrated for outward-focused queries concerned with tangible goals and interactions between people….”
And in order to achieve his new vision, he’s come up with twenty-one new Major Arcana, including cards like Sanctuary and Fellowship.
The Minor Arcana has been completely revamped as well. No Cups, Coins, Wands, or Swords. The New Tarot explores life through the Suits of Keys, Chains, Masks, and Tomes.
Though I’m not convinced that the traditional Tarot is lacking when it comes to questions of a tangible nature, I think The New Tarot is an interesting idea, and hope that Tusk and Minnis raise the funds they need to make it happen.

Looking at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the Magician has taken on the clothes of the Lovers’ Angel. He’s put down his tools and put on some wings.
Mercury in Gemini, or the Magician in the Lovers’ Angel’s clothing, is a time of quick thinking and brilliant communication.
It’s a great opportunity to exchange ideas, share thoughts, open hearts and let yourself think things you might not have ever before.
You don’t have to commit to anything you’re not ready for. But if you do decide on something, it’s a good time to get as educated about it as you can. If ever there was a time to learn something new, this is it.

Start that new project now! I know it’s just the beginning and you can hardly see how it’s going to manifest, but manifest it will. The Ace of Disks is the seed that begins all new physical realities.
Is it a new job? A novel approach to an old one? Trying to get a project off the ground? Starting a new workout or eating regime?
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have all the details yet. What’s important right now is to start working. Do it with the confidence that it’s going to succeed – in the real world.
