Take a look the beautiful Tarot card I just got framed!
It’s Ivan Minsloff’s original version of the Empress from the deck he and I have been working on.
The style of our deck has changed considerably since she was first drawn, but her spirit is always at its core.
Now she’s gracing my entranceway and welcoming all who come visit.
I don’t know why it took me so long to get her out of her poster roll and out on display, but I’m so glad I did. I just love her!

If you’re a fan of musicians Nick Drake and/or Robin Williamson, you might want to take a look at the video below.
In it, Williamson, who founded the Incredible String Band in the 1960s, does a Tarot reading regarding the enigmatic character of Nick Drake who died back in 1974.
Even if you don’t know anything about either musician, if you enjoy Tarot, it’s worth taking a look. Williamson’s interpretation is interesting and I like the modified Celtic Cross spread he uses.

Clear rational thinking is at the fore today. Is there something you need to take control of? Have you been wavering and wishy-washy lately? Stop procrastinating.
Focus, take charge and get it done. Have the courage to be clear and rational. Cut through the fog and let logic rule the day.
You know who you are, you know what you want and you’re sure you deserve it. Go to it. But beware of dictating what’s best for those around you.
You might know how to take care of yourself, but let others take care of their own lives, their own way.

Art and Tarot come together beautifully in Paco Cao’s newest project Eternal Rest.
Cao has created his own Tarot deck of forty cards in which he actively melds the past with the present, and future.
Thirty-two of the cards feature contemporary images of late greats Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, and Kurt Cobain fused with historical portraits by European Masters.
The remaining eight cards show symbols inspired by art of the renaissance and baroque periods.
Not only are paintings of the cards to be displayed at Cao’s show in New York City (and later in Rovereto, Italy), he’ll be doing private one-on-one readings with visitors who might want to connect with the stars.
You can get both a reading for yourself, as well as the opportunity to ‘contact the spirit of your idols and help them to find the enlightened path to eternal rest.’
How great is that!? An art show, a Tarot reading, and a chance to help the departed.

High Priestess as Strength

Translated into Tarot cards, this transit would be like the High Priestess is wearing Strength’s clothing. She’s thrown off her heavy cape and is spending some time outside with her lion.
The Moon in Leo, or High Priestess in Strength’s clothing is potentially a time of emotional power. Something beautiful that’s usually under wraps can finally be revealed.
The silence is broken. Quiet wisdom and passion can be united. During this time, it might be difficult to keep your ideas to yourself. But why should you?

#12 – The Hanged Man
This isn’t the day for action. It’s time to slow down and take a close look at what’s been going on. And if you can do it from a different perspective – great! Choose a comfortable place to relax and review what you’ve been up to. It might seem like a sacrifice, but it’s well worth it.
Are there patterns in your life that seem to be becoming more obvious than usual? This is a wonderful time to pay attention to how you’re life’s been going these last three months or so. Does it remind you of another time – maybe 12 years ago?
Look carefully at any people, places or things from your past (or that remind you of the past) that might unexpectedly appear. They might be highlighting particular areas in your life you’re repeating. Is it a repetition you’re happy with?
After you’ve done some review, start thinking about where you want to go next. Your old ways are almost over. Think about the new patterns you want to develop – you’ll be ready to start them soon enough. For now, relax, review and let yourself imagine?
