6 of Disks
The reckoning’s done and it’s finally time to dole out the rewards. Have you done your fair share? Are you ready to accept what’s due?
Success is coming to those who have done what they can to manifest their goals. It may seem like manna from heaven but look again – it’s more likely compensation for a job well done.
And don’t forget to thank those who have been helping you. We’re never alone in either our successes or our failures.

Yay!! It’s election day today in the United States!
Though as a Canadian in Toronto, I won’t be participating in this particular democratic process, like much of the rest of the world, I’ll be watching with great interest to see how it unfolds.
And unlike the psychic squirrel in the CNN clip below, I’m not going to try to predict the outcome. I did, however, ask the cards what they had to say about getting out to vote (something I encourage all my American friends to do).
The card I got was the 3 of Pentacles.
In it, an artisan stands on a bench and displays his work for a priest and an architect. They, in turn, seem to be passing judgment on how well the artisan has been following the plans they hold in front of them.
Normally I see this card as describing a growing mastery in one’s work, where people in authority recognize and often reward the technical and spiritual skills of the querent.
Today though, when I look at this card, I’m thinking that the priest and the architect represent the two candidates, each trying to convince the worker to choose him.
The whole story is turned around a bit in the voting scenario, but the main theme of the card remains.
Mastery is still at issue, but now it is up to the artisan (or worker) to judge whose plans are best, and who should be rewarded with the mantle of leadership.
I think that the 3 of Pentacles is reminding us that getting out to vote is a practical and creative activity, where the average person gets a chance to help shape plans for the future.
Don’t miss the opportunity – if you’ve got a vote, use it!!

#9 – The Hermit
You might find yourself wanting to spend some time alone today. It’s probably a good idea. Take time to look within and see what’s up inside your soul.
Have things been moving pretty fast lately? Don’t worry, it’s finally going to slow down a bit, giving you a moment to clean house and tie up loose ends.
Trust your own experience through this period. It’s through an examination of your own personal journey that you’ll discover your inner wisdom. You probably know a lot more then you give yourself credit for. But you might need some silence to notice.
Give yourself permission to be quiet. You won’t be missing anything by taking a break. It’ll only make things more fun when you finally re-emerge from your cave.

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my favourite magic shops in Toronto is the Hermit’s Lamp, up on Vaughn Road, above St. Clair.
They host art shows and meet-ups, sell magic supplies, offer Tarot and psychic readings, teach workshops, and of course, sell Tarot books and decks.
Typically they’ve got a good assortment of decks and books to choose from, but this coming Saturday, November 10th, the choice is going to be even better.
Apparently, a friend of shop owner Andrew McGregor has decided to sell their personal Tarot collection, and has chosen to do so through the Hermit’s Lamp.
There will be about 120 new, or almost new decks available, and over 200 books.
Some of the decks are quite rare – Tarot of Prague, Shinning Woman Tarot, Giger Tarot, Via Tarot, Alchemical Tarot, Brotherhood Tarot, and many more.
I hope to get over there myself – I’ve always wanted a copy of the Shining Woman Tarot!
All items are first come, first serve, so if you’re interested, get there early. The store will be open from 10:00 am through 6:00 pm.

The Moon moves into Leo today and stays there until Thursday.
Translated into Tarot cards, this transit would be like the High Priestess is wearing Strength’s clothing. She’s thrown off her heavy cape and is spending some time outside with her lion.
The Moon in Leo, or High Priestess in Strength’s clothing is potentially a time of emotional power. Something beautiful that’s usually under wraps can finally be revealed.
The silence is broken. Quiet wisdom and passion can be united. During this time, it might be difficult to keep your ideas to yourself. But why should you?
Try finding an outlet for plans you’ve been sitting on? This is an opportunity to shine if you’re not over-burdened by self-consciousness.
It might feel a little uncomfortable at first, but letting your wilder side out right now could be positive. The sun isn’t always shining. Take advantage of it when it does.

#4 – The Emperor
You can expect a day of fiery energy and powerful determination. In whatever you do today, you’re encouraged to do it with strength and creativity – in fact it would be hard not to. Within your domain you’re the one in charge, so manifest your will.
What have you been wanting to create in your world? Start making it really happen!
While you’re encouraged to take your power and run with it, there is a challenge associated with the Emperor. Remember – not everyone might want to do things your way. Everyone thinks they’re right.
Sometimes you have to give a little. If you don’t, don’t be surprised if other people start rearing their own Emperor energy and you’re smack dab in the middle of a fight.
Masculine energy is strongly indicated with the Emperor card and issues surrounding males, especially those in authority are likely during this time. Stay strong and true and you won’t go wrong.

Yesterday, I posted some pictures from a TarotSpotting mission outside of my house.
Today, I stayed inside but still found a Tarot card. It’s the 3 of Cups …

King of Cups
Compassion, emotional strength and mature love are key energies today. The King of Cups understands well the joys and sacrifices involved in relationships of all kinds.
Concern yourself with how others are feeling, what they need for support and how you might help. Through concern for the needs of others you might unexpectedly fulfill your own.
And if you know you’re needing some assistance yourself but have been afraid to ask – get over it. Emotional generosity and support are there if you’re willing to let someone help. But they have to know you need the help before they can offer it.
