#12 – The Hanged Man
This isn’t the day for action. It’s time to slow down and take a close look at what’s been going on. And if you can do it from a different perspective – great! Choose a comfortable place to relax and review what you’ve been up to. It might seem like a sacrifice, but it’s well worth it.
Are there patterns in your life that seem to be becoming more obvious than usual? This is a wonderful time to pay attention to how you’re life’s been going these last three months or so. Does it remind you of another time – maybe 12 years ago?
Look carefully at any people, places or things from your past (or that remind you of the past) that might unexpectedly appear. They might be highlighting particular areas in your life you’re repeating. Is it a repetition you’re happy with?
After you’ve done some review, start thinking about where you want to go next. Your old ways are almost over. Think about the new patterns you want to develop – you’ll be ready to start them soon enough. For now, relax, review and let yourself imagine?

Moon in Aries – High Priestess in the Emperor's Clothing
September 19th, 2013 § 0 comments § permalink
The Moon moves into Aries today and will stay there until Saturday.
Translating this transit into Tarot cards, it would be like the High Priestess is wearing the Emperor’s clothing. She’s in scarlet and armor and is ready for battle.
The Moon in Aries, or High Priestess in the clothing of the Emperor, is a time of intensified emotions. You might feel an increased desire to shape your own world.
Rather than sitting back in stillness, this transit encourages the loosening of emotional restrictions and the conscious expression of enthusiasm and/or passion.
It might be uncomfortable at first, but allow yourself to speak out loud. Take steps forward to let people know what you know and what you love.
Try to remain objective and open-minded while acting with determination and direction. It might sound impossible, but you can do both if you try.

Queen of Disks
It looks like you may have set yourself up just right. You’ve created the space you’re in through determined effort and hard work.
Step by step you’ve manifested your own prosperity and this is a wonderful time to enjoy it. It hasn’t always be easy but the rewards are well worth it.
Be generous with your prosperity, and kind to those that haven’t quite done it yet. People might come to you for practical advice or help. Or maybe it will be you taking that step to approach a kindly soul who could help you.
Don’t hesitate either to help or to ask for help. We’re here for each other and create the most beautiful of worlds when we work together.
The King of Swords – music not war

In Tarot, the Suit of Swords can reflect some pretty difficult situations, things like conflict, sadness, treachery, and depression.
At the same time, especially in the Court Cards, this suit can represent mental clarity, discernment, focus, and intelligent communication.
The King and Queen of Swords are particularly good at turning the challenges of their suit into positive lessons and opportunities for mental expansion.
I got to thinking of the Sword family while watching the video below called, Turning Weapons Into Instruments by The Creators Project.
In it, artist Pedro Reyes shows us how he did just that – he turned weapons into instruments, and they sound beautiful.
It’s clear to me that Reyes is a true King of Swords. With mental mastery, he’s turned tools of destruction into beautiful songs that get us thinking.

Queen of Cups
The energy today is full of nurturance and love. Let yourself give and receive. Share your feelings, your dreams and what it is that makes you human. Let your imagination run away with you (while holding on to reality if you can).
The Queen of Cups loves romance and laughter and beauty in all its forms. Take a leap into your emotional depths. Don’t be afraid, you won’t stay under too long. This Queen understands emotional limits – how to push them and how to pull them back gently without hurting anyone’s feelings.
Today would be a great day to enjoy the company of loved ones. Or call or write them – one way or another, be sure they know you care.
Moon in Pisces – High Priestess in the Moon's Clothing
September 17th, 2013 § 0 comments § permalink
The Moon moves into Pisces today and stays there until Thursday.
Described in Tarot cards, this transit would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Moon. She’s lost her material body and has disappeared into the celestial body that usually rests at her feet.
The Moon in Pisces, or High Priestess dressed as the Moon, is a time of increased perception, ill-defined understanding and what might be described as night vision.
During this time you could find your dreams feel more real than your daylight hours and what’s not said is louder than what is.
Fears might grow like a boogieman under the bed, but if you just take a peek, they’re as likely to be dust bunnies as demons or ghosts.
Be still, aware and fearless. It might be dark outside, but if there was ever a time you can navigate the unknown, this is it. Listen, breathe, flow.

#7 – The Chariot
Today you’ll likely see some movement. The Chariot is the card of change, the card that takes you places. Having finally determined the direction you’d like to go, now is the time to get cracking and go there.
Changing jobs, moving house or some sort of travel are the larger manifestations of the Chariot energy. Sometimes though, it might bring no more than a strong desire to redecorate your living room or go for a long drive.
However it plays out, try not to give up if the going gets a little tough. More often then not, just sticking it out and playing for real is all it takes to ensure victory. You’ve come this far already, why would you give up now?
Some Hands Play with Tarot Cards

I was floating around Vimeo.com when I came across this video called Hands of Brooklyn by Ashley Autumn and the production company, Co.MISSION.
The short film shows a series of hands, all busy doing what they do in Brooklyn, New York.
They’re building things, making pizzas, fixing bikes, poking people with acupuncture needles, cutting hair, and even playing with Tarot cards.
As a former Tarot reading Brooklyn resident myself, I love it! And my hands applaud.

Wheel of Fortune
Do it now! It’s a fantastic day to get going on whatever project (especially a new one) you’ve been thinking about. Opportunities abound for you to finally move forward with your plan.
Don’t be afraid if you think you can’t do it? You’ve been spending plenty of time thinking about it. Look close, you’ll see you have all you need to make it work.
The only thing that will slow you down is doing things the same old way. Start fresh now. You’re ready to go.
