Sweetness abounds when the Page of Cups is around.  This is a great day to communicate emotions – enthusiastically and without censor, especially to those you love.

There’s a lightness in the air and the sense that something new could be starting.  And it just might be.

It’s good to remember though, that there’s no need for you to commit to anything serious right now.  It’s still the time of freshness and beginnings.  Becoming heavy now would only dampen what’s still just growing.

Express yourself and let your imagination wander.

Your home is more important now than the outside world. Start thinking how to make it more practical. You might not be ready to do the work just yet, but this is a great time to plan.

Emotionally, it’s a time of calm. Perfect for listening and reflecting rather than acting out in passion. Take your time. There’s no rush.

Study, organization, contemplation, solitude, emotional self-reflection. Don’t be afraid to be alone right now. There’s lot’s to do on your own.

Get down to work. Nothing exciting going on, except maybe the chance to get more done than you thought you would.

Follow the template and don’t worry about being particularly innovative today. It’s probably more important to just get it done.

To motivate yourself try remembering that what you’re working on now is setting you up for your future. Put in the effort and it’ll ultimately pay off.

#6 – The Lovers

Are there choices to be made?  Decisions you’ve put off for another time?  Well this is the time.  The Lovers card asks us to finally make up our minds – either commit or get out now.

On a personal level, the Lovers reminds us to balance the opposites within ourselves.  Are your ying and yang in sync?  Does your conscious experience compliment your unconscious dream state or do they seem at war?  Are you living a life that satisfies your soul?

Heavy questions, but this is a great day to think about them.  In fact, you might find it difficult not to.

This is a serious commitment you’re thinking about.  To help you make up your mind, ask yourself which direction brings you closer to your soul’s call. You probably already know the answer.

The Lovers is really a beautiful energy of inner and outer unity, enjoy.

Put simply, philosophy is the study, or examination of fundamental concepts like truth, existence, and freedom – what are they, how do they play out in our lives, what ideas seems to make the most sense?

Though all the cards in the Tarot deck focus on one or another philosophical question, I’d say that there are two particularly philosophical-type characters in the deck – the Hierophant and the Hermit.

The Hierophant is especially interested in questions of faith, religion, family, and God. He seeks connection with the grander universe and likes others to share his perspective through the use of ritual, education, and moral law.

The Hermit is also interested in those questions (among others), but his focus is more on how they play out in an individual life, or soul. His search is more internal than external, and his quest is personal. He’s less interested in finding a truth for everyone as he is in discovering the truth in and for himself.

Though there’s no mention of either the Hierophant or the Hermit in the video below by Olly of The Philosophy Tube, Olly makes a good case for ‘Why We Need Philosophy.’

Money might be tough to come by, while time is even more precious. Wherever you look, though, it seems like someone else is asking for more. The tendency here is to gather yourself and your resources and go off alone to think.

Go ahead and do that if you’d like, but try not to get yourself too closed off. You probably have more than you think you do. Maybe even enough to share.

If you’re being asked to spend on something that will help establish an even firmer foundation than you presently have, give it some serious thought. It might be more than you had anticipated, but the pay offs are probably well worth it.

Extravagant or foolish spending is not recommended, but remember the old adage – it takes money to make money. If you don’t put it out there, be it actual money, your physical effort or something else you consider really important, nothing’s coming back.

This is true about your emotions as well, don’t hold them too close to the chest. Be generous with your heart. Remember, you get what you give.

The Moon in Leo, or High Priestess in Strength’s clothing is potentially a time of emotional power. Something beautiful that’s usually under wraps can finally be revealed.

The silence is broken. Quiet wisdom and passion can be united. During this time, it might be difficult to keep your ideas to yourself. But why should you?

Try finding an outlet for plans you’ve been sitting on? This is an opportunity to shine if you’re not over-burdened by self-consciousness.

It might feel a little uncomfortable at first, but letting your wilder side out right now could be positive. The sun isn’t always shining. Take advantage of it when it does.

Waiting and watching will probably be a bit of a preoccupation today.   You’ve begun the process and have done all you can for the moment.

This might be a good time to review the steps you’ve taken so far.  Make sure that you’ve got yourself balanced before the real journey begins.

Virtue is likely to be a key concept.  Virtue here means being true to yourself within and between all your layers – mind, body and spirit.

Are your emotions in line with your thinking?  Are you acting in a way that accurately reflects you’re beliefs and feelings?  Explore these questions and relax.  Your ship will arrive soon.
