Get down to work. Nothing exciting going on, except maybe the chance to get more done than you thought you would.

Follow the template and don’t worry about being particularly innovative today. It’s probably more important to just get it done.

To motivate yourself try remembering that what you’re working on now is setting you up for your future. Put in the effort and it’ll ultimately pay off.

Ace of Disks

Start that new project now!  I know it’s just the beginning and you can hardly see how it’s going to manifest, but manifest it will.  The Ace of Disks is the seed that begins all new physical realities.

Is it a new job?  A novel approach to an old one?  Trying to get a project off the ground?  Starting a new workout or eating regimen?

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have all the details yet. What’s important right now is to start working.  Do it with the confidence that it’s going to succeed – in the real world.

All great trips require a first step. This is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.  Take the step and start the journey.

Prince of Cups

You’ll probably be feeling quite loving today.  Emotions are open and flowing and you’re getting along with everyone.

People will likely find you even more attractive than usual, and you them.  But don’t confuse that with getting serious.

Emotions may have been high lately, or at least all over the place. You might find yourself thinking a lot about what in life (and love) truly makes you happy.

It’s a good time to think about it. But don’t worry, there’s no need to make any firm commitments right now.  Just look around you and experience what life has to offer.

You’re in the process of building a new emotional maturity. Enjoy and play friendly.

Today we’re going to take a quick look at the book Tarot For Troubled Times by Shaheen Miro & Theresa Reed. It was published back in 2019 by Weiser Books, but is certainly as relevant today as ever.

5 Points About This Book:

1. Tarot Guide – Tarot For Troubled Times is not a how-to guide for Tarot reading, and I expect that most people drawn to it already read cards to some degree or other. Working through the book and doing the exercises though, will likely deepen your relationship to the cards whatever level of Tarot reading you’re at.
2. Main Themes – This book focuses on both personal development and confronting one’s shadow self, as well as looking at our individual roles and actions in the grander outside world.
3. Journaling – Throughout the book, Miro and Reed highly recommend the process of journaling your thoughts, and provide many helpful prompts in every chapter.
4. Exercises – Tarot for Troubled Times contains multiple Tarot spreads, and self-reflection question prompts. It also includes directions for finding and using personal and yearly Tarot archetypes, as well as providing ideas and suggestions for magic work like rituals and spells. I love this stuff!
5. Allies and Activism – The book closes with a focus on the outer community and societal themes, offering constructive advice on what it means to be an ally and an activist and how you might use the Tarot to help guide you on your path.

I really like Tarot for Troubled Times. It’s self-empowering without being unrealistically positive, has tons of interesting and fun exercise suggestions, and encourages us to recognize we have a valuable part to play in both our personal lives, and the larger world outside ourselves.

6 of Disks

The reckoning’s done and it’s finally time to dole out the rewards.  Have you done your fair share?  Are you ready to accept what’s due?

Success is coming to those who have done what they can to manifest their goals.  It may seem like manna from heaven but look again – it’s more likely compensation for a job well done.

And don’t forget to thank those who have been helping you. We’re never alone in either our successes or our failures.

The Moon moves into Libra today, and will stay there until Wednesday.

Looking at this transit through the lens of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is wearing Justice’s clothing. She takes on the mantle of the Karmic Decider.

With the High Priestess as Justice, or the Moon in Libra, we might be required to face up to something and decide.

Our emotions will demand respect. If we’ve leaned too far back or forward, we’ll probably find ourselves moving just as dramatically the other way.

It can be a slightly challenging period, perhaps a little manic. But by the time it’s done, something is likely to have been decided upon.

Don’t be alarmed by conflicting emotions. They’re there because you can see both sides. It’s not good enough though to just acknowledge them and walk away.

During this transit you’re being asked to take a stand one way or another. And you’ve got the wisdom and power to do so.

#7 – The Chariot

Today you’ll likely see some movement. The Chariot is the card of change, the card that takes you places.  Having finally determined the direction you’d like to go, now is the time to get cracking and go there.

Changing jobs, moving house or some sort of travel are the larger manifestations of the Chariot energy.  Sometimes though, it might bring no more than a strong desire to redecorate your living room or go for a long drive.

However it plays out, try not to give up if the going gets a little tough. More often then not, just sticking it out and playing for real is all it takes to ensure victory.  You’ve come this far already, why would you give up now?
