#1 The Magician - Rider Waite Smith Tarot

In Tarot, the Magician, typically #1 in most decks, is known for his ability to inspire, and to generate new ideas by thinking outside of the norm.

He uses all the tools on his table – cups, wands, swords, and pentacles – to find creative solutions to issues of the day, or simply to create for the sake of creating, just because it’s fun.

In the RSA Short below, Cédric Villani reviews 7 ingredients that encourage creativity and the generation of new ideas, thus reminding us that we all have tools to inspire and imagine, just like the Magicians we all can be.

#3 The Empress - Rider Waite Smith Tarot

What is creativity? For me it’s about taking an idea and growing with it, whatever that idea might be about. By re-making, re-shaping, or just re-imagining the world we’re in, we’re being creative. Like the Empress from the Tarot deck, creativity is quite simply giving birth to something new (metaphorically or otherwise).
