The Moon moves into Capricorn today and will stay there until Sunday.
If you were to describe this transit using the Tarot, you might say that the High Priestess is wearing the Devil’s clothing. The virginal goddess has gotten downright beastly.
The Moon in Capricorn, or High Priestess in the Devil’s clothing, is a period of potential internal conflict. The physical world might seem to draw you away from what you typically believe to be right.
You might feel driven or compelled by behaviours and attitudes that go against the grain of your morality. It could be liberating or disturbing, depending on your secrets.
Whatever’s going on though, don’t be too hard on yourself. Get obsessions out of your system, and learn what you can about yourself while you do so.
You should be ready to move on soon. There’s nothing wrong with a little focused physicality. Just don’t get stuck.
We just had this card last week. The energy must still be around ….
You can expect a day of fiery energy and powerful determination. In whatever you do today, you’re encouraged to do it with strength and creativity – in fact it would be hard not to. Within your domain you’re the one in charge, so manifest your will.
What have you been wanting to create in your world? Start making it really happen!
While you’re encouraged to take your power and run with it, there is a challenge associated with the Emperor. Remember – not everyone might want to do things your way. Everyone thinks they’re right.
Sometimes you have to give a little. If you don’t, don’t be surprised if other people start rearing their own Emperor energy and you’re smack dab in the middle of a fight.
Masculine energy is strongly indicated with the Emperor card and issues surrounding males, especially those in authority are likely during this time. Stay strong and true and you won’t go wrong.
Another Tarot conference well worth attending is the Bay Area Tarot Symposium, otherwise known as BATS.
It’s on August 27-28, 2011 in beautiful San Francisco, California.
Organized by the enchanting Thalassa, in association with the Daughters of Divination, BATS is the oldest continuously produced Tarot event in the world.
And this year looks like it’s going to be especially excellent.
The reckoning’s done and it’s finally time to dole out the rewards. Have you done your fair share? Are you ready to accept what’s due?
Success is coming to those who have done what they can to manifest their goals. It may seem like manna from heaven but look again – it’s more likely compensation for a job well done.
And don’t forget to thank those who have been helping you. We’re never alone in either our successes or our failures.
The Moon moves into Sagittarius today and will be there until Thursday.
Looking at it through the eyes of the Tarot, you can describe this transit as being like the High Priestess wearing Temperance’s clothing. She’s dressed like an angel.
The Moon in Sagittarius, or High Priestess in Temperance’s clothing, indicates a time when intellect, practicality, emotions and passion can work together in relative ease.
What’s normally only an idea might find its way to becoming real. Even-tempered inspiration and emotional playfulness can create what look like miracles.
Take this time to bring your emotions in line with your passions. And play with your most serious ideas. It’s in combining the unexpected that you’ll likely find gold.
You may have more physical prosperity than you thought. Look around and see the support that’s there.
It’s likely that the money or physical support or whatever it is you need is at hand and that those who said they were behind you really are.
Trust your family and loved ones, they really do have your back and were never going to let you fall.
Open yourself to abundance and you might be surprised at how much is there for you.
And when you prosper, don’t forget to be generous. No one ever does it all on their own (even when we think we do). We all need each other, and it’s through sharing that we discover our true wealth.
On stage behind Barbara is the legendary Mary K. Greer nodding her head in approval. Corrine Kenner and James Wells are there too, but you don’t see them till the end.
Optimism and rejuvenation are the themes for the day. Active generosity and compassion come easy so don’t hold back. Give and you will receive.
Embrace the Universe’s capacity to provide you with what you need when you need it most. That’s what miracles are and the Star is the goddess of miracles.
If things have been tough lately, now’s a time when you can finally lean back and take a bit of a break. Surround yourself with as much beauty as you can. It will help to replenish your soul.
Art, music, and the glory of the night sky are all worthy subjects of meditation. Let them fill you with the inspiration you need for the next leg of your journey.
Venus moves into Taurus today and will stay there until June 9th.
If we look at this transit from a Tarot perspective, it would be like the Empress is wearing the Hierophant’s clothing. She’s moved from casual comfort to a more authoritative formal look.
The Empress loves life. She loves it in all its manifestations, good, bad and in between.
Not as concerned with the rules, she looks for the flow, the endless streams of experience that arise with every new breath.
She’s creativity at its most profound level. She literally gave birth to the world, and all her children are precious.
She doesn’t like to tell them what to do. She’d rather encourage them to be as fully themselves as they can be.
The Hierophant has a different perspective. He too embraces the experiences of the senses, but he’s much more concerned with control.
He’s not so much about the flow as he is about the word, rules and the law. He wants to be the pipe through which the divine speaks to the masses. He’s always looking for the ‘true’ path.
The Hierophant is disciplined and focused. He’s very comfortable with ritual, and traditions for him can become almost sacred.
The Empress enjoys her time in this position. Though typically less rigid than the Hierophant, she appreciates his reverence for life and desire to share the glory of the divine.
Venus in Taurus, or the Empress in the Hierophant’s clothing can be a time of faith that the universe is operating exactly as it should. How could it not be? The world’s mother is in charge.
Creative energies can be contained, directed and used to exalt the lowly and the sublime. It’s a time of sensuality, but one that’s refined and under control.
Fine art, philosophy, music, and good food. Embrace it all and celebrate how amazing it is to be human.
As long as the Empress is in this outfit, the rule of the day is grace, love and beauty.
