Money is probably hard to come by, while time is even more precious. Wherever you look, though, it seems like someone else is asking for more. The tendency here is to gather yourself and your resources and go off alone to think.
Go ahead and do that if you’d like, but try not to get yourself too closed off. You probably have more than you think you do. Maybe even enough to share.
If you’re being asked to spend on something that will help establish an even firmer foundation than you presently have, give it some serious thought. It might be more than you had anticipated, but the pay offs are probably well worth it.
Extravagant or foolish spending is not recommended, but remember the old adage – it takes money to make money. If you don’t put it out there, be it actual money, your physical effort or something else you consider really important, nothing’s coming back.
This is true about your emotions as well, don’t hold them too close to the chest. Be generous with your heart. Remember, you get what you give.
Suzanne Triester is the creator of the HEXEN 2.0 Tarot deck. And from the looks of it, it’s a Tarot reading conspiracy theorists’ dream deck.
Loosely based on the Golden Dawn system, Triester’s HEXEN 2.0 Tarot depicts the interconnected histories of the computer, the internet, counterculture, cybernetics, social engineering, government and military research projects, and the occult.
It’s a sequel to HEXEN 2039, and brings together large-scale alchemical diagrams, photo-text works, a film representing a cybernetic séance, and the Tarot deck.
The show runs through May 1st, and it’s free! The deck isn’t available yet, but it will be soon. I’ve got it on my wish list already.
Hosted by Tarot master James Wells, the small but enthusiastic crowd of Tarot readers had a fabulous time.
We learnt how to make our own Tarot lay-outs, how to use Tarot to understand astrology, how to use Tarot to create everyday rituals, and how to find our own inner fortune-tellers.
Mine apparently was someone who called herself Madame LeGonza and thought she got messages from a Delphic spirit. Interesting.
The whole day was a lot of fun, especially getting to talk with all the other readers. I really enjoyed myself.
The Moon moves into Sagittarius today and will be there until Thursday.
Looking at it through the eyes of the Tarot, you can describe this transit as being like the High Priestess wearing Temperance’s clothing. She’s dressed like an angel.
The Moon in Sagittarius, or High Priestess in Temperance’s clothing, indicates a time when intellect, practicality, emotions and passion can work together in relative ease.
What’s normally only an idea might find its way to becoming real. Even-tempered inspiration and emotional playfulness can create what look like miracles.
Take this time to bring your emotions in line with your passions. And play with your most serious ideas. It’s in combining the unexpected that you’ll likely find gold.
You’ve worked hard for your keep, with discipline and perseverance. Physically, some important goals are finally being achieved.
You’re moving towards a place where you feel more at ease, towards a practical stability. The fruits of your labour can now be recognized and finally enjoyed.
Take some time today to quietly congratulate yourself. You’ve worked hard and deserve what you’ve received. Though the road hasn’t always been easy, developing patience and inner strength will prove well worth it.
A 30 foot golden replica of Michelangelo’s David took a tour of New York City last week.
Serkan Ozkaya created the piece and thought it would be interesting to see it visit different neighbourhoods before eventually heading to its new home at a museum in Louisville, Kentucky.
To me it looked a like a statue of Mercury, tied down, and without his winged feet. That got me thinking of Mercury Retrograde and how this golden David was a perfect metaphor for the messenger planet slowed down.
And as it turns out, Mercury went retrograde just yesterday and will be so until April 3rd.
Though this planetary shift can bring with it miscommunications, computer kookiness, and transportation snafus, it’s not all bad.
It can also give you an opportunity to slow down and sort through tasks you’ve been putting off for a while, maybe even since the last time Mercury went retrograde late last year.
During this time, it’s recommended not to sign contracts, or buy electronics without getting a warranty. And you might want to give yourself a little extra time to get to appointments or other important commitments.
But don’t stress out if things don’t move along exactly as you expect them to. They might not go as planned, but they’ll most likely work out fine in the end.
We can take our cue from the golden David, if you have to take the long route, you might as well just relax and enjoy the ride.
Relax, stay calm and maybe even sleep on it. There’s been a lot on your mind lately, and some of it has been quite heavy. You need to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Meditate on the changes you want in your life. Figure out where your strengths lie and take that route to your goal. It wouldn’t hurt to even reconsider the goal. Are you sure you still want it?
And don’t forget your spirit. Without it, the mental world can be pretty bleak. Trust your dreams and keep in touch with your soul. Make a truce with yourself – life isn’t always a battle.
A new sense of self and perspective on the world are available. But you have to be quiet and still to find them. Take today to figure it out. You’ll be stronger in the long run.
Late last month, the Moon, Venus, and Jupiter all got together in the sky for a little party. It was pretty spectacular if you were lucky enough to see it.
And though the Moon is out of the picture for a few days, Venus and Jupiter are moving even closer together.
Tomorrow and Tuesday night they’ll be within 3˚ of each other, close enough that if you put just two fingers up to the sky you could block them out of your sight. Not that you’d want to, they’re something to see.
Through the eyes of the Tarot this meeting would be like the Empress is taking a spin on the Wheel of Fortune. Or maybe she’s meeting Fortuna herself. Two lovely ladies shining above.
Creativity, compassion, new opportunities, and good luck – this could be a really nice couple of days. I hope it is for all.
If you get a chance, look up to see the goddesses for yourself. And if it’s cloudy don’t despair. Whether we see them or not, they’re sending down their magic and having a good time.
The moon moves into Scorpio today and stays there until Tuesday.
If you translate this transit into the Tarot, you could say that the High Priestess is dressed as Death. She’s in the midst of a great transformation.
The Moon in Scorpio, or High Priestess in Death’s clothing, suggests a time when feelings run deep. The ability to end relationships that don’t work, or release stagnant emotions is accentuated.
If there’s a situation in your life that’s nearing its completion, especially if it’s emotional or relationship-oriented, this might be a good time to let it go. At least explore it with emotional clarity.
This isn’t a time to be afraid, but rather a time to face your fears with equanimity and intelligence.
You’ve got what it takes. Don’t back down from the scary stuff.
