The assignments include things like ‘Photograph Red’, and ‘Interpret the subject Love. No kids, pets, parents or partners. Go deeper …’
By using the oracular method to choose assignments, photographer and card creator, Douglas Beasley hopes to get creativity flowing and allow synchronicity to direct artists to their perfect task.
I love the idea! And combining two of my favourite things, picture taking and divination, in one stylish package certainly gets me interested.
And apparently, I’m not the only one. Beasley has already raised the money he was looking for to print his deck, so it’s definitely a go.
Sweetness abounds when the page of cups is around. This is a great day to communicate emotions – enthusiastically and without censor, especially to those you love.
There’s a lightness in the air and the sense that something new could be starting. And it just might be.
It’s good to remember though, that there’s no need for you to commit to anything serious right now. It’s still the time of freshness and beginnings. Becoming heavy now would only dampen what’s still just growing.
You’ve worked hard for your keep, with discipline and perseverance. Physically, some important goals are finally being achieved.
You’re moving towards a place where you feel more at ease, towards a practical stability. The fruits of your labour can now be recognized and finally enjoyed.
Take some time today to quietly congratulate yourself. You’ve worked hard and deserve what you’ve received. Though the road hasn’t always been easy, developing patience and inner strength will prove well worth it.
The Moon moves into Taurus today and stays there until Sunday.
If you look at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Hierophant. She’s sitting before two acolytes and sharing the secrets she usually guards.
The Moon in Taurus, or High Priestess in the Hierophant’s clothes, is a time of spiritual and emotional certitude.
There’s a sense that the truth can be explained, understood and incorporated into daily life. Rules can and should be followed.
Instead of trying to force others to recognize what you know to be certain, try using this time to simply share your emotional, intellectual and spiritual perceptions.
Celebrate the diversity of spirit in our world, while figuring out for yourself what rules, spiritual or otherwise, work best for you.
The exercise demonstrated in the video below is kind of interesting.
In it a woman holds a Tarot card she’s randomly chosen from the deck. Without looking at it, she concentrates on what she feels or senses around the card and jots down some words that come to mind.
She also draws out images she’s ‘getting’ from the card without actually seeing it.
It’s not a fast paced clip and the results aren’t earth shattering, but when it comes right down to it they are kind of remarkable.
I don’t know the people who made this film, so I can’t verify whether what’s going on in it is real or not. But I’ve done similar exercises myself and have achieved very similar results.
It’s a day to dissolve the fog and start looking at things with fresh and honest eyes. With a commitment to clarity, new ideas and a new sense of authority will be close on the horizon.
Take things in hand and energetically start slicing through any fuzziness you’ve not wanted to look past till now. Are you happy with what you’re seeing? If yes – go forward with strength. If not, figure out what you actually want, re-direct yourself towards it and go forward with strength.
In either case, you need to see things for what they really are before you can intelligently decide what your next step might be. This is no time to fool yourself. It’s a time to take charge, be realistic and be strong.
