High Priestess as the Lovers’ Angel
The Moon moves into Gemini today and will stay there until Tuesday.
From a Tarot perspective, this transit would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Lovers’ Angel. She floats above the naked couple, blessing their sacred union.
The Moon in Gemini, or High Priestess dressed as the Lovers’ angel, can be an emotionally confusing time, one where internal conflicts arise in order to be reconciled.
But it can also be a time of clarity, honest communication and almost intuitive understanding about yourself and those around you.
Quiet faith teams up with commitment and the Angels approve of the whole thing.
Try to keep your emotions in line with your reason. Going too far either way could disturb a really nice balance.

Jenny Kruch has put together a very fun looking collage deck called the Frau Grand Duchess Tarot.
Though they move pretty fast, you can see the cards in the video below.
Kruch says she’s going create a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds to print the deck. I hope she does. I’ll be watching out for it.

On my recent trip to San Francisco, I came across a tile mural on the side of a Safeway store.
It was created back in 1959 by John Garth, who apparently made a number of such mosaics for Safeway stores across the country.
It’s an impressive piece meant to depict how the foods of the world are grown, toiled over, and ultimately transported to shopping carts at Safeway stores everywhere.
When I saw it though, my Tarot radar went off and three cards jumped out of the picture – the 10 of Wands, the 3 of Pentacles, and the 9 of Pentacles …

Spiritual questions and tradition are highlighted during this period. It’s probably important to you now to look carefully at the spiritual structures in your life. Why do you believe what you do? Who are your spiritual authorities and what gives them their legitimacy? Who decides issues of morality for you, your family and/or your community?
Many of these questions are answered with cultural traditions. Today, you’ll probably be examining whether or not the answers you’re accustomed to are still satisfactory. They might be or they might not be. Don’t be afraid to seek out your truth simply because it rubs against your comfort zone. Sometimes growth hurts a bit.
You might be asked to judge someone else’s dispute, or find the need to go to an authority for answers yourself. Keep your mind open, but your skepticism on. Ultimately, you’re the only one who can decide whether something makes sense for your life or not.

High Priestess in Hierophant’s Clothes
The Moon moves into Taurus today and stays there until Sunday.
If you look at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Hierophant. She’s sitting before two acolytes and sharing the secrets she usually guards.
The Moon in Taurus, or High Priestess in the Hierophant’s clothes, is a time of spiritual and emotional certitude.
There’s a sense that the truth can be explained, understood and incorporated into daily life. Rules can and should be followed.
Instead of trying to force others to recognize what you know to be certain, try using this time to simply share your emotional, intellectual and spiritual perceptions.
Celebrate the diversity of spirit in our world, while figuring out for yourself what rules, spiritual or otherwise, work best for you.

Take a look at the video below called Dropping Off the Kids.
It’s by Deems of the Moscow based art collective known as Facehead who created little ‘art’ cards and anonymously shared them with the public.
Though Tarot is not involved in Facehead’s project, I couldn’t help but think that doing something similar with hand drawn Tarot images would be great fun too.
I think it would be so fun that I just might try it. I’ll let you all know if I do.
Finding one of these cards would be fabulous, but making them and leaving them for someone else could be even better.

The flame has been ignited and there’s a new feeling floating around. This is a day to let inspiration lead the way.
Throw out your old excuses and start something you really care about. Passion and fire are what motivates the soul and it’s time to listen to yours.
You might not yet know what’s different but you know your old way of doing things is no longer possible. A new spirit has been planted and you can probably feel the excitement beginning to build.
Whatever it is that moves you with enthusiasm should be your starting point. Being true to your spirit isn’t being selfish. It’s what makes you fully human.
