It’s official – psychic businesses are legal in La Cañada Flintridge, California.
In a 4-0 vote, city council members ruled that fortune-tellers, astrologers, psychics, and palm readers will be included among businesses allowed to operate under the city’s zoning code.
Until now, ‘fortune-tellers’ were neither permitted nor forbidden in La Cañada Flintridge, but going forward, anyone interested in opening a psychic shop may do so, as long as they obtain a city permit, and locate within specific commercial zones.
According to the La Cañada Valley Sun, though there was some debate last summer, as to whether ‘fortune-telling’ was pure entertainment or a service, council ultimately chose the service label.
La Cañada Valley Sun quotes the mayor as saying,
“Some people think it’s just a fun thing, and some think it’s a serious service. I can’t tell you who’s right or wrong, but to accommodate that, we put it down as a service.”
I’m glad they did.

Tower Strikes the Hermit
Mars moves into Virgo today and will stay there until December 7th.
From a Tarot perspective, this transit is like the Tower’s crashing around the Hermit and the night skies are on fire.
Mars in Virgo, or the Tower striking the Hermit, is a time to throw away your old routine and start building a new one.
A new perspective is almost certain to arise, and it’s likely to come from somewhere unexpected.
Don’t be afraid to look beyond your comfort zone, and don’t give up the details just because things around you seem chaotic.
It’s time to energetically reorganize and create a new plan of action that will be even better than before.
Stick with what you need to do and keep going. Things will calm down soon enough, and you’ll know so much more by the time it’s done.

I know she was just here on Thursday, but the Star is back …
Optimism and rejuvenation are the themes for the day. Active generosity and compassion come easy so don’t hold back. Give and you will receive.
Embrace the Universe’s capacity to provide you with what you need when you need it most. That’s what miracles are and the Star is the goddess of miracles.
If things have been tough lately, now’s a time when you can finally lean back and take a bit of a break. Surround yourself with as much beauty as you can. It will help to replenish your soul.
Art, music, and the glory of the night sky are all worthy subjects of meditation. Let them fill you with the inspiration you need for the next leg of your journey.

High Priestess in Star’s Clothing

Described in Tarot cards, this transit would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Star. In other words, her robes are gone and she’s naked as the bird in the tree behind her.
The Moon in Aquarius, or High Priestess in the Star’s clothing, can sometimes be emotionally stressful. Hope may be in the air, but it’s a cautious hope.
Emotionally you feel like sharing, bubbling over with dreams for the future. But your mind keeps getting in the way, reminding you that dreams can sometimes be nightmares.
Try not to spend what could be a nice time double guessing yourself or listing off all the reasons things could go wrong. They might. But they probably won’t.
