Inspired by artists who anonymously leave pieces of their art around their neighbourhoods for anyone who might be lucky enough to find them, I’ve been conducting my own little neighbourhood Tarot Art Drop.
The art itself might not be so good, but the intention is meant to be.
I started by asking the deck – which cards want to play in the Tarot Art Drop?
After choosing twelve cards (a completely random number), I first drew each of the images on sketch paper. I then glued the pictures to cardboard from an old box I had around, then coloured and glazed each one.
On the back of the finished card-pictures, I wrote a little positive message, something related to the card, then started dropping them around.
Over the last few months, I’ve left them in alleyways, bus stops, and in phone booths.
For all I know, they’ve all been lost to the wind, or destroyed in the rain. But maybe at least one of them was picked up and got their message through.
And hopefully, they were able to spread their good energy whether anyone noticed them or not.

Dance and rejoice! You deserve to celebrate after a long journey. A phase in your life is coming to a close – it’s big but not scary.
This is a good day to reflect on what’s been happening in your life over the last long while. Where were your successes and what would you rather leave behind? How did all the little stories turn into a whole big narrative?
Review, laugh and maybe even cry, but don’t carry old burdens with you going forward. Be free and open and willing to be vulnerable. You’ve done what you can. It’s time now to simply enjoy your own little slice of the universe. You’ll have plenty of time to plan your next step tomorrow.

The Moon moves into Capricorn today and will stay there until Saturday.
If you were to describe this transit using the Tarot, you might say that the High Priestess is wearing the Devil’s clothing. The virginal goddess has gotten downright beastly.
The Moon in Capricorn, or High Priestess in the Devil’s clothing, is a period of potential internal conflict. The physical world might seem to draw you away from what you typically believe to be right.
You might feel driven or compelled by behaviours and attitudes that go against the grain of your morality. It could be liberating or disturbing, depending on your secrets.
Whatever’s going on though, don’t be too hard on yourself. Get obsessions out of your system, and learn what you can about yourself while you do so.
You should be ready to move on soon. There’s nothing wrong with a little focused physicality. Just don’t get stuck.

Optimism and rejuvenation are the themes for the day. Active generosity and compassion come easy so don’t hold back. Give and you will receive.
Embrace the Universe’s capacity to provide you with what you need when you need it most. That’s what miracles are and the Star is the goddess of miracles.
If things have been tough lately, now’s a time when you can finally lean back and take a bit of a break. Surround yourself with as much beauty as you can. It will help to replenish your soul.
Art, music, and the glory of the night sky are all worthy subjects of meditation. Let them fill you with the inspiration you need for the next leg of your journey.

As Halloween is drawing near, I asked my RWS deck to show me a card that would inspire a good Halloween spread … the card I got was the Devil.
Though at his more challenging the Devil represents brutish power games, physical obsessions, and spiritual imbalance, at his best he can reflect hard work, a fiendish sense of humour, and an enthusiasm for breaking taboos and exposing hypocrisy.
One way or another, the Devil asks us to face our demons. It’s a spooky thing to do, perfect for Halloween.
So here we go, a Halloween inspired, Face Your Demons Spread …
1. What is the spooky demon I’m most afraid of facing?
2. How am I bound or chained to it?
3. How can I unchain myself?
4. What false belief, silly taboo, or outdated orthodoxy am I clinging onto?
5. What purpose has this perspective served for me?

You may have more physical prosperity than you thought. Look around and see the support that’s there.
It’s likely that the money or physical support or whatever it is you need is at hand and that those who said they were behind you really are.
Trust your family and loved ones, they really do have your back and were never going to let you fall.
Open yourself to abundance and you might be surprised at how much is there for you.
And when you prosper, don’t forget to be generous. No one ever does it all on their own (even when we think we do). We all need each other, and it’s through sharing that we discover our true wealth.

Empress as Temperance
Venus moves into Sagittarius today and will stay there until November 5th.
From a Tarot perspective, this transit would be like the Empress is wearing Temperance’s clothing. She’s changed her gown and has sprouted some wings.
Venus in Sagittarius, or the Empress in Temperance’s clothing, is a time of creative harmony.
