You’ll probably be feeling quite loving today.  Emotions are open and flowing and you’re getting along with everyone.

People will likely find you even more attractive than usual, and you them.  But don’t confuse that with getting serious.

Emotions may have been high lately, or at least all over the place. You might find yourself thinking a lot about what in life (and love) truly makes you happy.

It’s a good time to think about it. But don’t worry, there’s no need to make any firm commitments right now.  Just look around you and experience what life has to offer.

You’re in the process of building a new emotional maturity. Enjoy and play friendly.

The Moon moves into Taurus today and stays there until Tuesday.

If you look at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Hierophant. She’s sitting before two acolytes and sharing the secrets she usually guards.

The Moon in Taurus, or High Priestess in the Hierophant’s clothes, is a time of spiritual and emotional certitude.

There’s a sense that the truth can be explained, understood and incorporated into daily life. Rules can and should be followed.

Instead of trying to force others to recognize what you know to be certain, try using this time to simply share your emotional, intellectual and spiritual perceptions.

Celebrate the diversity of spirit in our world, while figuring out for yourself what rules, spiritual or otherwise, work best for you.

#1 – The Magician

Were you thinking of starting something new? This is the time to do it. The energy of The Magician encourages you to start fresh.

Look around – I bet you have all the tools you need for this new enterprise. It’s only up to you to start making things happen.

Name your goal and start listing the steps you need to get there. Especially important is that first step. It can be big or small – just take it! You’re at the very beginning right now, don’t let the long journey ahead dissuade you from going forward.

You can’t go back, so what the heck? Focus on what it is you want to achieve and you can make anything happen.

Beware though, don’t try fooling yourself or others, there’s no need for deception. It will only lead you down the wrong road right from the start. Stay true to your plan and keep yourself focused.

You can do what you need to without resorting to trickery or lies. It’ll work out much better in the long run if you stick to the truth.

Watching the School of Life video below called The Perfectionist Trap, got me thinking about the 7 of Pentacles.

It’s a card that points to a feeling of frustration at not being ‘good’ enough. It can describe the fear that while others succeed, we, on the other hand, are nothing more than failures, or that, at the very most, pale copies of those who are great.

Though it’s true that we’ll often find that we’re not as ‘good’ as other people might be at something, and that we haven’t achieved the notoriety or kudos that someone else in our field may have, not being the best at something is certainly not a good enough reason for not continuing to work at it, especially if it’s something we really like doing.

An important piece of advice triggered by the appearance of the 7 of Pentacles is to persevere, to keep going and not give up simply because it’s not always easy. If you keep at it, you’re likely to be quite satisfied with the results, something you definitely won’t be if you just give up.

And that seems to be what the School of Life is saying too. Take a look …

Charge forward with strength and vitality.  This is a day of power, passion and growing energy. Your plan is in place and now’s the time to take it to the next step.  Use your internal fire to take you where you’re trying to go.

You don’t need to wait till everything’s perfect to start moving.  In fact, more often than not, things don’t start falling where they should until you start shifting them up and get some excitement going.  Take a chance that you know what you’re doing and act on it.  Believe in yourself and don’t be shy.

#8 – Justice

Today’s themes are balance and justice.  It might be time to stand up or into your own authority by being strong, sure and most importantly, just.  This isn’t the time to play around and think you’ll get away with not doing your share.  On the other hand, if you do the work required, the Justice energy is happy to reward you.

Have you been playing fair?  It’s not so much about the mundane rules as it is about the bigger universal justice.  And it’s not necessarily about ‘work’ per se, but rather the energies that you’ve been putting out there.  Are you speaking up for what you believe in?  Are you taking responsibility for your own life?  Do you help others as you might expect them to help you?

What you send out is what you’re likely to get back.  This is karma in action and it’s generally quite profound.  On days when the Justice card appears, the karmic force is typically more obvious than usual.  Look around and see if you can find it.

Take time to rebalance yourself, and if possible, find some time to get out into nature.  It usually puts things into perspective pretty fast. Think carefully about your next move.  It’s what you’ve already done that has brought you to where you are now.  What you do next will determine what you’ll be reaping in your future.   Try to make it something good for everyone.
