Creative vision, a fiery temperament, inspirational thinking – it could be an exciting day.   You have the capacity to focus your passionate energy into something constructive.

If it’s been difficult to get going with an enterprise that really matters to your soul, this is a great day to clear through the cobwebs. Take your fire and run with it.

But don’t forget to enjoy your strength wisely.  No one likes a tyrant. Get to work on your goal, but don’t assume that everyone else is going to follow your lead. They might be feeling a lot like you are today and are probably looking for some followers themselves.

If you translate this transit into the Tarot, you could say that the High Priestess is dressed as Death. She’s in the midst of a great transformation.

The Moon in Scorpio, or High Priestess in Death’s clothing, suggests a time when feelings run deep. The ability to end relationships that don’t work, or release stagnant emotions is accentuated.

If there’s a situation in your life that’s nearing its completion, especially if it’s emotional or relationship-oriented, this might be a good time to let it go. At least explore it with emotional clarity.

This isn’t a time to be afraid, but rather a time to face your fears with equanimity and intelligence.

You’ve got what it takes. Don’t back down from the scary stuff.

#7 – The Chariot

Today you’ll likely see some movement. The Chariot is the card of change, the card that takes you places.  Having finally determined the direction you’d like to go, now is the time to get cracking and go there.

Changing jobs, moving house or some sort of travel are the larger manifestations of the Chariot energy.  Sometimes though, it might bring no more than a strong desire to redecorate your living room or go for a long drive.

However it plays out, try not to give up if the going gets a little tough. More often then not, just sticking it out and playing for real is all it takes to ensure victory.  You’ve come this far already, why would you give up now?

Tarot For One took me longer to read than I expected, but not because it’s difficult, or heavy, or in any way hard to read. In fact, it’s just the opposite, Courtney Weber has written an extremely accessible Tarot guide that’s a true pleasure to read.

It took me so long to get through because instead of just breezing through a collection of card definitions, Tarot history, and sample spreads (all of which are included in the book and are very well written), I actually worked through every exercise while using a new deck I wasn’t at all familiar with.

The time taken was well worth it, as not only did I really get to know my new deck, but I also deepened my own relationship with Tarot and how I use it to read for myself.

What’s especially wonderful about Tarot For One is how it helps you to develop your own personal connection to the cards. Working through the exercises shows you how you can build a language using the images on your cards that reflects your own life, something memorizing other peoples’ definitions can never do.

And the process of creating that personal language is super fun!! I was having insights left, right, and center the whole way through the book. Even an exercise asking readers about their last meal was unexpectedly interesting and enjoyable.

If you decide to get this book (which I recommend), I strongly suggest you do all the exercises, and most definitely use your Tarot journal. I started a new one just for the book and I’ve already filled more than 160 pages!

Tarot For One: The Art of Reading for Yourself is a book I think both new and seasoned readers will enjoy. I know I’m going to be gifting it to some of my Tarot buddies. Whether they’ve been reading for a long time, or just starting out, it’s the type of book that can help everyone become a better reader.

It’s a fantastic day to get going on whatever project (especially a new one) you’ve been thinking about.  Opportunities abound for you to finally move forward with your plan.

Don’t be afraid if you think you can’t do it?  You’ve been spending plenty of time thinking about it.  Look close, you’ll see you have all you need to make it work.

The only thing that will slow you down is doing things the same old way.  Start fresh now.  You’re ready to go. 

The Moon moves into Libra today, and will stay there until Wednesday.

Looking at this transit through the lens of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is wearing Justice’s clothing. She takes on the mantle of the Karmic Decider.

With the High Priestess as Justice, or the Moon in Libra, we might be required to face up to something and decide.

Our emotions will demand respect. If we’ve leaned too far back or forward, we’ll probably find ourselves moving just as dramatically the other way.

It can be a slightly challenging period, perhaps a little manic. But by the time it’s done, something is likely to have been decided upon.

Don’t be alarmed by conflicting emotions. They’re there because you can see both sides. It’s not good enough though to just acknowledge them and walk away.

During this transit you’re being asked to take a stand one way or another. And you’ve got the wisdom and power to do so.

#9 – The Hermit

You might find yourself wanting to spend some time alone today. It’s probably a good idea. Take time to look within and see what’s up inside your soul.

Have things been moving pretty fast lately? Don’t worry, it’s finally going to slow down a bit, giving you a moment to clean house and tie up loose ends.

Trust your own experience through this period. It’s through an examination of your own personal journey that you’ll discover your inner wisdom. You probably know a lot more then you give yourself credit for. But you might need some silence to notice.

Give yourself permission to be quiet. You won’t be missing anything by taking a break. It’ll only make things more fun when you finally re-emerge from your cave.

Magician As Emperor

Mercury moves into Aries tomorrow and will be there until March 31st.

Looking at this transit from a Tarot perspective, it would be like the Magician is wearing the Emperor’s clothes. He’s sitting down and armoured up.

Mercury in Aries, or the Magician in the Emperor’s clothing is a time when speaking your mind might be easier than usual, as long as you don’t force your will onto others while you’re doing it.

It a great opportunity to start solidifying ideas and taking plans to the next step. There’s an energy here that encourages action. And your persuasive powers will be on fire.

With a sharp mind, focused will, and the conviction of your ideals, it might be hard to keep you down.

But don’t go getting bossy, or twisting the facts to suit your purpose. Straight-shooting focus on your own projects and behaviours is the quickest way to build a solid domain.

Prosperity and stability are highlighted.   Enjoy the fruits of your labour.  It’s been your steady steps and sometimes less than exciting work that has brought you to where you are.  Good work.
