#1 – The Magician

Were you thinking of starting something new? This is the time to do it. The energy of The Magician encourages you to start fresh.

Look around – I bet you have all the tools you need for this new enterprise. It’s only up to you to start making things happen.

Name your goal and start listing the steps you need to get there. Especially important is that first step. It can be big or small – just take it! You’re at the very beginning right now, don’t let the long journey ahead dissuade you from going forward.

You can’t go back, so what the heck? Focus on what it is you want to achieve and you can make anything happen.

Beware though, don’t try fooling yourself or others, there’s no need for deception. It will only lead you down the wrong road right from the start. Stay true to your plan and keep yourself focused.

You can do what you need to without resorting to trickery or lies. It’ll work out much better in the long run if you stick to the truth.

Yesterday, I went to see the schlock horror movie, Tarot. I expected it to be bad, and for the most part it was. The Tarot in it didn’t make a whole lot of sense (but Tarot is a somewhat personal art, so who am I to criticize), and the main story line was extraordinarily predictable, with many story tendrils just left hanging. Not to mention, every single scene was in the dark … no matter where the characters were. Atmospheric yes, but kind of crazy too.

On the positive side, I did like the deck they used (even if readings with it killed people). Every card was terrifying, even traditionally positive ones like the Fool, Magician, High Priestess and the Hermit. In fact, those cards really got ugly … but I won’t spoil anything. I want to say though, that I can’t figure out why they used a non-traditional 6 of Swords for one particular gruesome event, when the traditional 10 of Swords was already perfectly suitable. Whatever … the cards were beautiful, and apparently very, very powerful.

Overall, I had a fabulous time, screamed a bit, laughed a lot. I’m really glad I got to see it at the theatre on a big screen with loud surround sound. Watching it in my living room probably wouldn’t have had the same impact. But maybe I’m wrong. Had I been watching it with all my own decks lying around, who knows what could have happened.

#12 – The Hanged Man

This isn’t the day for action.  It’s time to slow down and take a close look at what’s been going on. And if you can do it from a different perspective – great!   Choose a comfortable place to relax and review what you’ve been up to.  It might seem like a sacrifice, but it’s well worth it.

Are there patterns in your life that seem to be becoming more obvious than usual? This is a wonderful time to pay attention to how you’re life’s been going these last three months or so.  Does it remind you of another time – maybe 12 years ago?

Look carefully at any people, places or things from your past (or that remind you of the past) that might unexpectedly appear. They might be highlighting particular areas in your life you’re repeating. Is it a repetition you’re happy with?

After you’ve done some review, start thinking about where you want to go next.  Your old ways are almost over.  Think about the new patterns you want to develop – you’ll be ready to start them soon enough.  For now, relax, review and let yourself imagine?

6 of Swords

This is a good day to get your thoughts as clear as possible.  And you may have some emotional issues that could use a little focused attention.  It’s a great time to think things through.

What choices are you being asked to make at this time?  Look them squarely in the face and choose.  If you can’t choose now, when do you think you can?  At least decide that.  Ask yourself what will bring you closer to your own truth – a union of mind, body and soul.

You’re sharp as a tack today.  Take advantage of the energy to decide what needs deciding.  You can do it.  How will you get to your next step if you don’t?

Mercury is about to move into Taurus and will stay there until June 3rd.

#14 – Temperance

This is a great day to even things out. Balance and temperance are the energies surrounding you now. Can you bring your physical world into harmony with your emotional state?

Temperance is about that perfect mix, neither too much nor too little. It’s about becoming conscious of what you want to be both inside and out, and courageous enough to try.
