It’s a period of strength, vitality and the will to succeed. Use it to push through emotional blocks, or attitudes that may have been holding you back.

And get back to work on any projects you’ve been letting languish. Perseverance should be the word of the month.

Today you might find yourself simply working and waiting. You’ve been trying hard but it probably feels like there’s little to show for it.  Keep your chin up!  You are actively creating change in your life, but it takes time.

Try not to get down on yourself while the process continues.  Commitment means sticking through the dull, tough times to reach your goal.  You’re well on your way and it would be a shame not to keep going.  In fact, the hardest part now is not to give up for fear of failure.

There’s still work ahead, but you’re going in the right direction.  Keep plugging away and you will succeed.

The reckoning’s done and it’s finally time to dole out the rewards.  Have you done your fair share?  Are you ready to accept what’s due?

Success is coming to those who have done what they can to manifest their goals.  It may seem like manna from heaven but look again – it’s more likely compensation for a job well done.

And don’t forget to thank those who have been helping you. We’re never alone in either our successes or our failures.

Venus moved into Cancer and will be staying there until July 11th.

From a Tarot perspective, it’s like the Empress is dressed as the Charioteer. She’s thrown on some armour and taken to the road.

Venus in Cancer, or the Empress in the clothes of the Charioteer, can be a time of active beauty and love.

It takes courage to create and move past just ideas to what’s actually real. This is a chance to do that, and to do it with joy.

Perseverance and the fortitude to keep going when the road gets rocky are gifts of this cycle. As is the ability to see beauty in even the ugliest of ditches.

Ace of Cups

Emotional renewal is the name of the game today.  A new way of feeling about something and/or somebody is about to emerge.  Perhaps you’re feeling it already – it’s like that first hint of spring or when a magnolia tree finally blossoms after a long cold winter.

Joy and hope are in the air and accessible to you.  Throw away any gloom you’ve been dragging around and wake up to the inspiration of positive emotions.  There’s a sense that anything can happen and it’s probably going to be good. Be receptive to the love that’s around you and give it back in kind.

The moon moves into Scorpio today and stays there until Wednesday.

If you translate this transit into the Tarot, you could say that the High Priestess is dressed as Death. She’s in the midst of a great transformation.

The Moon in Scorpio, or High Priestess in Death’s clothing, suggests a time when feelings run deep. The ability to end relationships that don’t work, or release stagnant emotions is accentuated.

I know I’ve talked about this topic in the past (and was soundly ridiculed by some), but I feel like talking about it again … ’cause, it’s my blog, and I can do what I want … no, really because I think it’s fun and maybe you want to try it too.

What’s this controversial topic you ask (well no one’s asking, and it’s not controversial, more just silly) … it’s Nail Painting by Tarot … or Magic Mani/Pedis. If you like Tarot, nail polish, and magic, this might be for you …

The basic idea is to paint your nails using colours from the Tarot.

It’s really simple … from a deck you like, choose a card whose energy you’d like to engage and/or embody. Take a look at the colours in the card and pick one that you think expresses the vibe you’re looking for most. Find nail polish in that colour or something close. Paint it on.

From a like-attrracts-like magical perspective, you’re bringing that energy to yourself. If you don’t believe in that sort of thing, you can just treat it as a reminder to try acting with that energy whenever you notice your nails.

If that process seems like too much trouble … just in your mind (no need for a deck) think of the traditional colour connected to the card whose energy you’re seeking and choose that one.

Or, if the traditional colour doesn’t speak to you, use the colour you associate with the spirit you’re looking for.

I know all this is kind of kookie, but I still like doing it. Lately, I’ve been wearing bright Sun Yellow on my fingers and an Empress Green on my toes … sunshine and creative growth … and pretty nails too.

For extra fun, choose different colours for each nail – make it like a little reading on your fingers and toes. Or how about using those little nail stickers … surely there are some that have tarot-ish symbols, ex. moons, stars, suns, wine glasses (for the suit of cups, of course), dice (wheel of fortune) … etc.

Try it out! Who doesn’t want to be both magic and gorgeous?
