The Anima Mundi Tarot

Here’s another lovely new deck in the works, this one by Megan Wyreweden … The Anima Mundi Tarot.

Anima Mundi is a phrase coined by Plato to mean ‘the world soul’, or the concept that all living things on the planet are connected as one unified spiritual entity. Sounds like a good idea for a deck.

To see the cards, and to learn more about them, watch the video below, visit the Anima Mundi project page, and/or Wyreweden’s website

Here’s another new compilation deck that really looks like fun – the GirlsDrawinGirls Group Tarot Deck.

Founded by Melody Severns (of The Simpsons fame), GirlsDrawinGirls is a group meant to showcase women artists in the art and animation industry. As a group, they celebrate the traditionally male dominated art of the pin up, and express their creative concepts about beauty and sex appeal through a female-centric lens.

The GirlsDrawinGirls Group Tarot is a full 78 card deck featuring the work of 60 different artists, and a whole lot of femininity.

Visit the GDG Tarot Project page to see the cards and to learn more about the deck, and the group.

The Moment Will Come

Being someone who enjoys hunting down Tarot archetypes in graffiti, I really like the video below by Latvian artist Krišs Salmanis called The Moment Will Come.

Salmanis created a series of 36 stencils which he pasted along a street named after a mythical character. I don’t know which particular mythical character is being portrayed, but I like the effect …
