Looking at things from a new perspective should be easy today – and a good idea. Let inspiration strike, then focus on your goal in order to start bringing about its manifestation. Clear communication and precise thinking will serve you well.
Try to be discerning – which direction will get you closest to your ultimate destination with the least complication? Let outmoded ways of seeing the world fall away. It’s only then that you’ll have room for the new view.
Be positive and proactive – you’re in charge and you can make what you want happen. Start now.

For the last eight years, Brooklyn based artist Jesse Bransford has been deeply engaged with the seven ancient astrological planets.
Starting with the Sun, he’s been researching, painting, and writing about each planet and their mysterious influences on our world.
His journey has led him across cultures, time periods, and political and philosophical world views.
This summer he’ll conclude his series with Saturn, a perfect planet to end with.
His work is great. You can see some of it here, and read an interview with him by Kari Adelaide.
Some of his work will be part of the Sigils and Signs show I wrote about a few weeks ago. But hopefully, there’ll also be a show for Saturn itself. I’ll be looking out for it.
Till then though, you can take a look at the video below of Bransford creating a wall painting as part of his Moon installation back in 2009.

High Priestess as Justice
The Moon moved into Libra today, and will stay there until Saturday.
Looking at this transit through the lens of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is wearing Justice’s clothing. She takes on the mantle of the Karmic Decider.
With the High Priestess as Justice, or the Moon in Libra, we might be required to face up to something and decide.
Our emotions will demand respect. If we’ve leaned too far back or forward, we’ll probably find ourselves moving just as dramatically the other way.
It can be a slightly challenging period, perhaps a little manic. But by the time it’s done, something is likely to have been decided upon.
Don’t be alarmed by conflicting emotions. They’re there because you can see both sides. It’s not good enough though to just acknowledge them and walk away.
During this transit you’re being asked to take a stand one way or another. And you’ve got the wisdom and power to do so.

Queen of Wands
Be yourself and be it fully. This is a day for you to shine. You know yourself and you’ve been true to your soul. It’s always worth it and now you’re remembering why.
As you harness your energy to create your will, do so with compassion. Remember what you suffered to get to your present state. Have compassion for those that are still struggling. They can use your inspiration, but remember your strength. Be careful not to burn them.
Take pride in your self and your work, but don’t get carried away. You’re most beautiful when you’re humble, while letting your fire soar.

If I were in New York City the weekend of July 19 to 22nd, I’d definitely be attending the Art & Psyche in the City conference.
Its focus is on the interplay of depth psychology and art within the context of a city, New York City specifically, and it looks fantastically interesting.
Workshops will explore everything from urban mandalas, to subway art, to NYC poets’ responses to Carl Jung’s Red Book.
There’ll be walking tours, film screenings, lectures, musical performances, photo shows, and even a ‘Dream Over’ at Rubin Museum of Art.
There’s so much going on in fact, that I can’t begin to list it all. You’ll have to go to the Art & Psyche in the City website to see it for yourself.

#1 – The Magician
Were you thinking of starting something new? This is the time to do it. The energy of The Magician encourages you to start fresh.
Look around – I bet you have all the tools you need for this new enterprise. It’s only up to you to start making things happen.
Name your goal and start listing the steps you need to get there. Especially important is that first step. It can be big or small – just take it! You’re at the very beginning right now, don’t let the long journey ahead dissuade you from going forward.
You can’t go back, so what the heck? Focus on what it is you want to achieve and you can make anything happen.
Beware though, don’t try fooling yourself or others, there’s no need for deception. It will only lead you down the wrong road right from the start. Stay true to your plan and keep yourself focused.
You can do what you need to without resorting to trickery or lies. It’ll work out much better in the long run if you stick to the truth.

It’s official, licenses for psychic businesses in Salem, Massachusetts are once again being issued.
As I posted last week, City Council temporarily suspended the issuance of licenses for new psychic businesses in July of 2011. Last Thursday, they voted to accept a new ordinance regulating such businesses.
Per the new law, only stores that dedicate at least 75% of their goods and services to fotunetelling and related products will be eligible for a psychic business license. This percentage has been increased from 51%.
The move was made to support psychic merchants who devote their business to the trade and to discourage psychics from setting up shop in businesses unrelated to fortunetelling, like clothing stores or coffee shops.

Physically things will likely be pretty good today. You’re probably feeling strong and have enough of everything that you really need. You might even have more than enough and can give some away.
If you do, take advantage of this period to be generous. You’ve done wonderfully in building your world, see if you can help someone else do the same.
Prosperity and stability are highlighted. Enjoy the fruits of your labour. It’s been your steady steps and sometimes less than exciting work that has brought you to where you are.
