In the Rider Waite Smith Tarot, the Temperance Angel pours water between two cups at what seems an impossible angle.
It represents the Angel’s mastery of the natural world, and in combination with the symbol for fire he wears on his chest, points to a successful balancing of the opposites both inside and out.
In his performance on Ukraine’s Got Talent, bartender Alexander Shtfanov also pours liquids between two cups at what seems an impossible angle.
And though he doesn’t wear the symbol of fire, there are fireworks displayed in the backdrop behind him.
It’s unlikely that Shtifanov is in fact the Temperance Angel, but they do share some similarities. Both know a lot about balance, and how to get that perfect mix.

She’s lost her material body and has disappeared into the celestial body that usually rests at her feet.
The Moon in Pisces, or High Priestess dressed as the Moon, is a time of increased perception, ill-defined understanding and what might be described as night vision.
During this time you could find your dreams feel more real than your daylight hours and what’s not said is louder than what is.
Fears might grow like a boogieman under the bed, but if you just take a peek, they’re as likely to be dust bunnies as demons or ghosts.
Be still, aware and fearless. It might be dark outside, but if there was ever a time you can navigate the unknown, this is it. Listen, breathe, flow.
Be yourself and be it fully. This is a day for you to shine. You know yourself and you’ve been true to your soul. It’s always worth it and now you’re remembering why.
As you harness your energy to create your will, do so with compassion. Remember what you suffered to get to your present state. Have compassion for those that are still struggling. They can use your inspiration, but remember your strength. Be careful not to burn them.

In Tarot, emotions are typically represented by the suit of Cups and the element of water. At their best, they’re free, deep, flowing, open, and positively reflective of the world around them.
At their more challenging, emotions can be overpowering, oppressive, stagnant, and/or melodramatic.
In the Cup Court cards, there’s a definite progression from the innocent buoyancy of the young Page and Knight to the more controlled emotional maturity of the King and Queen of the suit.
As we move through the ranks it becomes more about finding ways to live fully within life’s flow than to try and get the world to flow around us.
The video below of French freediver Guillaume Néry got me thinking of the King of Cups and his ability to face the metaphoric deep waters head on without fear of becoming swamped or sucked under.
To float like he does, one has to be still, calm, and at true peace with one’s environment. Néry’s a master of his element, a real-life King of Cups.
Physically things will likely be pretty good today. You’re probably feeling strong and have enough of everything that you really need. You might even have more than enough and can give some away.
If you do, take advantage of this period to be generous. You’ve done wonderfully in building your world, see if you can help someone else do the same.
Prosperity and stability are highlighted. Enjoy the fruits of your labour. It’s been your steady steps and sometimes less than exciting work that has brought you to where you are. Good work.
I wrote about the Hexen 2.0 Tarot by Suzanne Treister back when it was still in the making. I’ve had an actual copy of the deck for a few months now and have to say that I just love it.
It’s certainly not a standard deck, and I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone trying to learn traditional Tarot imagery and structure. But for those people already familiar with Tarot and interested in politics, you might want to check it out.
Its focus is on the history of the internet, the Macy Conferences, technology, the military, and concepts of utopia.
And though it has a conspiratorial feel about it, you don’t have to share the deck’s world view to find it useful.
I’ve been using it to ask questions about the political, social, and economic situations we’re facing today and have come up with some truly remarkable readings.
For those of you who happen to be in Dortmund, Germany over the next month and a half, you can see the original Hexen 2.0 images in person. HMKV in the Dortmund University is showing the series through July 22nd.
Go see it if you can. And if you can’t, consider getting yourself a copy of the deck. It’s one of the more interesting I’ve come across in a while.

The Moon in Aquarius, or High Priestess in the Star’s clothing, can sometimes be emotionally stressful. Hope may be in the air, but it’s a cautious hope.
Emotionally you feel like sharing, bubbling over with dreams for the future. But your mind keeps getting in the way, reminding you that dreams can sometimes be nightmares.
Try not to spend what could be a nice time double guessing yourself or listing off all the reasons things could go wrong. They might. But they probably won’t.
Be real, but not a wet blanket. Rather than smothering your dreams, direct them with intelligence.
