Page of Swords
It’s a day to dissolve the fog and start looking at things with fresh and honest eyes. With a commitment to clarity, new ideas and a new sense of authority will be close on the horizon.
Take things in hand and energetically start slicing through any fuzziness you’ve not wanted to look past till now. Are you happy with what you’re seeing? If yes – go forward with strength. If not, figure out what you actually want, re-direct yourself towards it and go forward with strength.
In either case, you need to see things for what they really are before you can intelligently decide what your next step might be. This is no time to fool yourself. It’s a time to take charge, be realistic and be strong.

I love watching videos of artists creating their art. And it can be especially fun if they’re creating Tarot art.
The video below by Claudia, aka Reino, is just that – Tarot art manifesting before our very eyes.
Reino works in multi-media and is in the process of making her Dharma Tarot.
Watch her in action as she creates the Knight of Wands. I really like it.

High Priestess as the Lovers’ Angel
The Moon moves into Gemini today and will stay there until Monday.
From a Tarot perspective, this transit would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Lovers’ Angel. She floats above the naked couple, blessing their sacred union.
The Moon in Gemini, or High Priestess dressed as the Lovers’ angel, can be an emotionally confusing time, one where internal conflicts arise in order to be reconciled.
But it can also be a time of clarity, honest communication and almost intuitive understanding about yourself and those around you.
Quiet faith teams up with commitment and the Angels approve of the whole thing.
Try to keep your emotions in line with your reason. Going too far either way could disturb a really nice balance.

You feel full up with all the love around you. In fact, you might even be a little overwhelmed with how much you care and how loved you feel.
This is a happy time to be with your family or friends or whoever it is that makes up your social community.
You’re probably nearing the end of an important emotional phase. Taking the time now to recognize and be grateful for all you have will help prepare you for the beginning of the next stage of your journey.
Celebrate with your loved ones, remembering with joy and humour all the good and not so good days that brought you to where you are now.

Last August, psychic business owners Tommy and Marie Costello sued the City of Hattiesburg, Mississippi over the closure of their business – Psychic Marie.
Hattiesburg had shut their business down based on a law from 1929 banning fortune-telling within city limits.
The Costellos argued that the ban was an unconstitutional restraint on their right to free speech and due process. In their lawsuit, they asked for its repeal, and for unspecified damages.
The city of course disagreed, and responded that the ban was a legitimate regulation meant to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Hattiesburg.
In November, U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett ruled in favour of the Costellos and issued a preliminary injunction against the fortune-telling ordinance. In early December, Hattiesburg repealed the law.
Now finally, the story is almost coming to a close for the Costellos. Just last week, the City of Hattiesburg settled the lawsuit and agreed to pay $7,500 in damages.
Given that their business was shut down for almost a year, it’s not a lot of money, but it’s still quite a victory.

#5 – The Hierophant
Spiritual questions and tradition are highlighted during this period. It’s probably important to you now to look carefully at the spiritual structures in your life. Why do you believe what you do? Who are your spiritual authorities and what gives them their legitimacy? Who decides issues of morality for you, your family and/or your community?
Many of these questions are answered with cultural traditions. Today, you’ll probably be examining whether or not the answers you’re accustomed to are still satisfactory. They might be or they might not be. Don’t be afraid to seek out your truth simply because it rubs against your comfort zone. Sometimes growth hurts a bit.
You might be asked to judge someone else’s dispute, or find the need to go to an authority for answers yourself. Keep your mind open, but your skepticism on. Ultimately, you’re the only one who can decide whether something makes sense for your life or not.

This Kickstarter project ends today, and unfortunately, I don’t think they’re going to be able to raise the funds they were hoping for this time round.
Still, I wanted to post The Hero Project video anyway because I just love what they’re trying to do and am hoping that toy designers Tucker Johnson and Wayne Losey don’t give up.
Action figures aren’t usually my thing, but I really like the idea of these ones. They’re mythological heroes (and sheroes) from around the world.
Starting with the Indian god Rama, they hope to move on to others like the Celtic hero Cuchulainn, Horus, the Sky god of ancient Egypt, and the Aztec air god Quetzalcoatl.
Female characters they’re considering include the Greek goddess Athena, Hawaii’s Pele, and Sita, a Hindu incarnation of the fertility goddess Lakshmi.
The Rama figure they’ve created looks fabulous, as do the sketches for all the rest.
I hope this project manages to come to fruition. I’d be thrilled to have my very own Bastet action doll.

High Priestess in Hierophant’s Clothes
The Moon moves into Taurus today and stays there until Friday.
If you look at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Hierophant. She’s sitting before two acolytes and sharing the secrets she usually guards.
The Moon in Taurus, or High Priestess in the Hierophant’s clothes, is a time of spiritual and emotional certitude.
There’s a sense that the truth can be explained, understood and incorporated into daily life. Rules can and should be followed.
Instead of trying to force others to recognize what you know to be certain, try using this time to simply share your emotional, intellectual and spiritual perceptions.
Celebrate the diversity of spirit in our world, while figuring out for yourself what rules, spiritual or otherwise, work best for you.

Compassion, emotional strength and mature love are key energies today. The King of Cups understands well the joys and sacrifices involved in relationships of all kinds.
Concern yourself with how others are feeling, what they need for support and how you might help. Through concern for the needs of others you might unexpectedly fulfill your own.
And if you know you’re needing some assistance yourself but have been afraid to ask – get over it. Emotional generosity and support are there if you’re willing to let someone help. But they have to know you need the help before they can offer it.

Yay!!! Mercury goes direct today!! The Magician is finally starting to pick up speed and move forward.
I tried to be upbeat about this astrological cycle in my post three weeks ago, but this Mercury Retrograde has been sort of tough.
With Mercury being the planet of communication and transportation, when it slows down, things can get a little haywire in both these areas. And it was.
The biggest manifestation has to be the failure of four electrical grids in India last week that resulted in the loss of electricity for over 670 million people.
Talk about slowing things down. I can only imagine.
But on a personal level, my own computer networks acted crazy too. Sure I was able to dig through things that needed to be reorganized, but only because everything around me seemed to fall apart.
Computer servers didn’t serve, programs didn’t open, and information typically had to be relayed once, twice, sometimes three times before it was clear. And even then it wasn’t always.
My own transportation and travel went relatively smoothly this time round, but read Theresa Reed’s blog about her attempts to get to the TABI Tarot conference in England.
If ever there was a story of Mercury messing with someone, that’s it.
To be fair though, as I predicted (and hoped), this planetary slow down did bring some old friends back into my world, even for a brief visit, and that was great.
But happy reunions or not, I’m glad that this cycle’s done for a while. It feels like I just caught up to where I was three weeks ago. Now it’s finally time to charge ahead! Go!!
