The Moon moves into Gemini today and will stay there until Sunday.
From a Tarot perspective, this transit would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Lovers’ Angel. She floats above the naked couple, blessing their sacred union.
The Moon in Gemini, or High Priestess dressed as the Lovers’ angel, can be an emotionally confusing time, one where internal conflicts arise in order to be reconciled.
But it can also be a time of clarity, honest communication and almost intuitive understanding about yourself and those around you.
Quiet faith teams up with commitment and the Angels approve of the whole thing.
Try to keep your emotions in line with your reason. Going too far either way could disturb a really nice balance.
What a wonderful day. You feel open and loving and willing to let the world know – at least if they ask. You might not feel like running out and embracing everyone you see, but there’s a sense of contentment and well-being that’s impossible to ignore.
This is an excellent time to enjoy and share. Be generous with your feelings. There’s really nothing to fear in letting people know you care.
Give as you can and laugh out loud as much as possible, even when you’re alone. It may have been some time since you’ve felt this good. Enjoy. You deserve it.
Take a look at the animation video below by Hiraoka Masaobu called Uneasiness and Triangle.
Though I did notice a few Tarot characters floating around, (the Page of Swords, Empress, and Fool caught my eye) the film has nothing to do with the cards.
Venus moved into Virgo today and will be there until October 28th.
From a Tarot perspective, this transit is like the Empress is wearing the Hermit’s clothing. She’s out in the snow, wearing the robes of a monk.
Venus in Virgo, or the Empress in the Hermit’s clothing is a good time to examine the parts of yourself you normally keep under wraps.
Take the opportunity to look carefully at the experiences you’ve been accumulating. Shift through your own inner shadows, and be unafraid to face whatever you find.
Compassion towards yourself and others will help heal both fears and sorrows, while introspection can provide creative insight you may not have thought possible.
And with all this seriousness, don’t forget to enjoy yourself. There’s as much to celebrate in the dark as there is in the light.
Relax, stay calm and maybe even sleep on it. There’s been a lot on your mind lately, and some of it has been quite heavy. You need to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Meditate on the changes you want in your life. Figure out where your strengths lie and take that route to your goal. It wouldn’t hurt to even reconsider the goal. Are you sure you still want it?
And don’t forget your spirit. Without it, the mental world can be pretty bleak. Trust your dreams and keep in touch with your soul. Make a truce with yourself – life isn’t always a battle.
A new sense of self and perspective on the world are available. But you have to be quiet and still to find them. Take today to figure it out. You’ll be stronger in the long run.
If you’re a crafty Tarot enthusiast who’s interested in making your own deck, you might want to check out the video below by Isis Chandler from The Do-It-Yourself Pagan.
Chandler has put together a very detailed step-by-step description of the process, from gathering your supplies through to the final lamination.
She’s inspired me to get myself a laminator. I’ve been holding off for a while now, but I think it’s finally time. It really makes the cards look great.
And if you want to try making a deck yourself, but don’t have any designs to work with, feel free to download the images from my Georgie’s Tarot.
You feel full up with all the love around you. In fact, you might even be a little overwhelmed with how much you care and how loved you feel.
This is a happy time to be with your family or friends or whoever it is that makes up your social community.
You’re probably nearing the end of an important emotional phase. Taking the time now to recognize and be grateful for all you have will help prepare you for the beginning of the next stage of your journey.
Celebrate with your loved ones, remembering with joy and humour all the good and not so good days that brought you to where you are now.
Forty pieces are presently up for bid, while the remaining ten will be part of a live special auction this coming Friday, the date of which happens to be the 50th anniversary of the release of the first 007 movie, Dr. No.
Items available include everything from Daniel Craig’s swimming trunks, to the suction pads used in You Only Live Twice.
There are props, posters, clap-boards and costumes, and my favourite, the ten Tarot cards Jane Seymour used to play solitaire in To Live and Let Die.
Money raised will be given to a range of charities, including Unicef. Visit Christie’s website to learn more.
The Moon moves into Taurus today and stays there until Thursday.
If you look at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Hierophant. She’s sitting before two acolytes and sharing the secrets she usually guards.
The Moon in Taurus, or High Priestess in the Hierophant’s clothes, is a time of spiritual and emotional certitude.
There’s a sense that the truth can be explained, understood and incorporated into daily life. Rules can and should be followed.
Instead of trying to force others to recognize what you know to be certain, try using this time to simply share your emotional, intellectual and spiritual perceptions.
Celebrate the diversity of spirit in our world, while figuring out for yourself what rules, spiritual or otherwise, work best for you.
