The Tarot Room – Georgianna

Today’s pull from Georgie’s Magic Card Collection is the Happy Soul Yes/No Crystal Oracle Deck by Diane Kewley and Joey Wargachuk. I’m not sure when it was published, but I got my copy this past summer.

5 Points About This Deck

1. Purpose: The Happy Soul Yes/No Crystal Oracle Deck is meant to offer a straight up affirmative or negative answer to a querent’s question … which is often what people are looking for when they’re wanting a divinatory reading, and Tarot isn’t always so good at that.
2. Oracle Deck: The Happy Soul Yes/No Crystal Oracle is an Oracle deck, not Tarot. There are no Major or Minor Arcanas, simply 28 cards – 7 Yes, 7 No, 7 Maybe, and 7 Defer
3. Crystals: Each card shows a different crystal along with a short phrase connected to the energy of the pictured stone, and the answer, ie. yes, no, maybe, defer
4. Works Well With Others: This a great deck to use in tandem with other Oracle or Tarot decks … the Yes/No Crystal Oracle can suggest a yes/no/maybe/defer answer, while the other decks can fill in the details of that suggestion
5. Happy Soul: Happy Soul is a crystal and metaphysical shop in Toronto with two locations, one on Bloor Street West, and the other on Queen West (I’ve only been to the Queen Street store). The founder of the shop, Diane Kewley is one of the deck creators, and as far as I know, Happy Soul is the only place to get a copy (in person, or online).

If you’re looking for a straight and easy answer from your cards, this is a fun deck to try. And if you’re already familiar with the properties of crystals, you might especially like it.

Remember though, nothing is definitive with Tarot, or any Oracle deck, so always use good judgement and your own discernment when making decisions that matter.

#19 – The Sun

What a good day!  Enjoy! After the long journey you’ve finally managed to get to the other side of the night.

There’s no need to be shy – express yourself and let everyone see you smile.

You have confidence now and boundaries no longer pen you in.  Creativity carries you forward as if in a dream.

Focus your imagination and you can manifest what you will.  Be open, free and alive.

The Moon moved into Taurus today and stays there until Saturday.

If you look at this transit through the eyes of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Hierophant. She’s sitting before two acolytes and sharing the secrets she usually guards.

The Moon in Taurus, or High Priestess in the Hierophant’s clothes, is a time of spiritual and emotional certitude.

There’s a sense that the truth can be explained, understood and incorporated into daily life. Rules can and should be followed.

Instead of trying to force others to recognize what you know to be certain, try using this time to simply share your emotional, intellectual and spiritual perceptions.

Celebrate the diversity of spirit in our world, while figuring out for yourself what rules, spiritual or otherwise, work best for you.

#1 – The Magician

Were you thinking of starting something new? This is the time to do it. The energy of The Magician encourages you to start fresh.

Look around – I bet you have all the tools you need for this new enterprise. It’s only up to you to start making things happen.

Name your goal and start listing the steps you need to get there. Especially important is that first step. It can be big or small – just take it! You’re at the very beginning right now, don’t let the long journey ahead dissuade you from going forward.

You can’t go back, so what the heck? Focus on what it is you want to achieve and you can make anything happen.

Beware though, don’t try fooling yourself or others, there’s no need for deception. It will only lead you down the wrong road right from the start. Stay true to your plan and keep yourself focused.

You can do what you need to without resorting to trickery or lies. It’ll work out much better in the long run if you stick to the truth.

2 of Swords

This is a day to take your time and think things through – calmly and quietly. Trust your inner voice and let silence be your friend. There’s probably a lot of emotion behind your thoughts these days. Try to keep balance.

Make sure you’re not overthinking things. It’s all about listening to both your logic and your intuition. Both have something to say to you right now. Try not to let your emotions sweep you away or your thoughts crush you down. You’ll know what to do when you need to do it. No need to act right now, just sit.

Mental peace is the energy you’ll discover in your quietude. Keep still. Keep calm. Your thoughts may be heavy, but you’re more than strong enough to hold them.

Waiting and watching will probably be a bit of a preoccupation today.   You’ve begun the process and have done all you can for the moment.

This might be a good time to review the steps you’ve taken so far.  Make sure that you’ve got yourself balanced before the real journey begins.

Virtue is likely to be a key concept.  Virtue here means being true to yourself within and between all your layers – mind, body and spirit.

Are your emotions in line with your thinking?  Are you acting in a way that accurately reflects you’re beliefs and feelings?  Explore these questions and relax.  Your ship will arrive soon.

Venus just moved into Capricorn and will stay there until December 7th.

From a Tarot perspective, this transit would be like the Empress is dressed in the Devil’s clothing. Hairy and winged, she’s trying out a darker look.

Venus in Capricorn, or the Empress in the Devil’s clothing is a time of creative intensity and physical manifestation.

Focus on getting things done and making them real, but do so with compassion for yourself and others.

Pushing through a task without connecting to it on an emotional level, or with an eye to the beautiful, will only lessen the value of what you create.

Celebrate and love with passion, but try not to chain yourself to anything for too long.
