We just saw him this past Friday, but the Fool’s back!

This is a great day to take the leap and do something different.  It might seem crazy and you have no idea how it’s going to turn out, or maybe even how you got on this path in the first place, but here you are.  It’s time to make your move and do so without fear.

The Fool card isn’t telling you to be an idiot, but rather to stop double thinking yourself all the time and worrying that every single thing is in order before you can make a move.

Life isn’t really that logical.  There’s no way to prepare for all eventualities, no matter how smart you are.  Do what you can and let the universe take care of the bigger story.

Thoth Fool

Just the other day, I was talking about Saturn, the World card, and dancing.

Today, I thought I’d stick with the dance theme and post this fabulous video from Sean Pecknold called Like a Lunatic.

It’s got nothing to do with Tarot, but it does remind us how important it is to dance like a Fool.

The Tarot comes to life in a recent job opportunity at the Austrian Rogner Bad Blumau Hotel. They’re literally looking for a Fool.

According to Yahoo News Canada, the hotel is looking to hire a Court Jester to amuse their guests.

They want someone creative, fun, and able to play a musical instrument.

Though they don’t mention it, a willingness to wear tights and unusual headgear is probably a requirement as well.

I wonder if the successful applicant will be allowed to bring their dog to work.

The other day I posted a song about life as reflected in Tarot cards. Today we have another Tarot tune.

Take a look at the animated short below by Hoji Tsuchiya called Sphere.

It’s about an office worker who drifts off into daydreams of being free from the routine drudgery of his daily tasks.

If I were to describe this idea in Tarot, I’d say it was like the man was stuck in an 8 of Pentacles routine, dreaming of being a Fool.
