Remote Viewing Secrets: A Handbook by Joseph McMoneagle

Remote Viewing Secrets

It’s not specifically about Tarot reading, but Tarot readers might want to take a look at Remote Viewing Secrets: A Handbook, by Joseph McMoneagle.

It was first published back in 2000, but it’s well worth reading now.

McMoneagle learnt Remote Viewing in the U.S. Army as part of the Stargate Project. In fact, he was Remote Viewer #001 and was awarded the Legion of Merit for ‘producing crucial and vital intelligence unavailable from any other source.’

As the title suggests, this book is about Remote Viewing, or the ability to gather information about an inaccessible target through psychic means, regardless of distance, shielding, or time.

According to McMoneagle, what distinguishes Remote Viewing from other psychic work is the protocol followed by the viewers involved.

Methodologies vary widely, and could include Tarot reading or spirit guides. But if the strict scientific procedures described in the book aren’t followed, what’s happening isn’t officially called Remote Viewing.

The book doesn’t teach how to be a Remote Viewer so much as how to prepare yourself and your psychic session to be as scientifically pure as possible.

It also covers questions surrounding who might make a particularly good viewer, and what states of mind are most conducive to positive outcomes.

Also examined are what makes a good target, the ethics of Remote Viewing, and recommendations for training and record keeping.

It’s an intelligent, no nonsense discussion of a topic that’s often hard to pin down. If you’re looking to get past some of the woo-woo in the psychic field, this might be a book for you.

Prince of Swords

It’s a day of dynamic action.  You know what you want to do, you know what you need to do and you probably know how to do it.  Just go ahead and make it happen.  Your mind’s working overtime and at lightning speed.  Flow with this powerful energy and charge towards you goals.

You might find it difficult to focus on just one issue. Two or three different ideas or projects are dragging you every which way.  Don’t worry.   Do what you can and focus on what’s in front of you when it’s in front of you.  Reign your mind in. One thing at a time and it will all get done.

And as always – remember to play nice.

Outrageous Fortune Art Show

If you’re anywhere near Southend-on-Sea, Essex, UK, you might want to get down to this Tarot show.

Outrageous Fortune is a collective Tarot deck created by 78 different artists and curated by Andrew Hunt.

Each artist randomly drew one card from a Marseille deck, and were asked to interpret what they saw. They saw all sorts of things, and came up with a diverse mix of formal, conceptual, Expressionist, literary and design-based approaches to making their own cards.

If you can’t get there, you can see some of the cards on-line. And maybe if you’re lucky, the show will be coming to a town near you.

It opens today at Focal Point Gallery in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and will be there until August 27. Then it hits the road to tour the UK through January 2012.

Moon in Virgo – High Priestess in the Hermit's Clothing

The High Priestess wearing the Hermit's clothing

High Priestess as Hermit

The Moon moves into Virgo today and will be there until Friday.

From a Tarot perspective, you might think of this transit as the High Priestess wearing the Hermit’s clothes. She’s putting on her cowl.

The Moon in Virgo, or High Priestess in the Hermit’s clothing, is a time for practical, quiet reflection. Seeking the advice of an expert, and listening carefully to what they have to say could be worthwhile.

Or maybe someone will be asking you for your advice.

Your home is more important now than the outside world. Start thinking how to make it more practical. You might not be ready to do the work just yet, but this is a great time to plan.

Emotionally, it’s a time of calm. Perfect for listening and reflecting rather than acting out in passion. Take your time. There’s no rush.

Study, organization, contemplation, solitude, emotional self-reflection. Don’t be afraid to be alone right now. There’s lot’s to do on your own.

6 of Disks

The reckoning’s done and it’s finally time to dole out the rewards.  Have you done your fair share?  Are you ready to accept what’s due?

Success is coming to those who have done what they can to manifest their goals.  It may seem like manna from heaven but look again – it’s more likely compensation for a job well done.

And don’t forget to thank those who have been helping you. We’re never alone in either our successes or our failures.

Fortune-Telling Case Filed in Federal Court

The American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee filed a case in Federal Court last month challenging fortune-telling restrictions in Sevierville.

Psychic and Tarot reader, Rose Williams, was ordered by the City last September to stop offering fortune-telling services, or shut down her business.

Considered ‘adult oriented activity’, she was told she could only continue her work in designated zones.

According to Sevierville bylaw, sexually oriented businesses, tattoo parlors, and psychic and palm reading activities must be at least 1000 feet from any school, church, public assembly facility, and/or residential zoning district.

Williams’ business abuts a residential zoning district.

The ACLU-TN is arguing that the zoning ordinance unconstitutionally limits Williams’ freedom of speech and expression, and deprives her of her rights as granted under the first and fourteenth amendments.

They’re seeking for the ordinance to be overturned, an injunction put in place to prohibit its enforcement, and that Williams be awarded actual and nominal damages.

You’ve made it!  Enjoy!  It feels great to be alive.  After the long journey you’ve finally managed to get to the other side of the night.

There’s no need to be shy – express yourself and let everyone see you smile.

You have confidence now and boundaries no longer pen you in.  Creativity carries you forward as if in a dream.

Focus your imagination and you can manifest what you will.  Be open, free and alive.

Venus in Cancer – Empress Dressed as the Charioteer

Venus in Cancer - Empress dressed as the Charioteer

Empress as Charioteer

Venus moves into Cancer today and stays there until July 28.

From a Tarot perspective, it’s like the Empress is dressed as the Charioteer. She’s thrown on some armour and taken to the road.

The Empress is the essence of beauty and love. Nurturing and bountiful she provides for everyone in her realm.

She’s warm, receptive and driven to create. She actively shares and desires nothing less than that all her children feel loved and well fed.

The Empress celebrates life in all its beauty and charm. But she’s aware of the sorrows it holds as well. She doesn’t ignore them, just does her best to lessen their pain.

The Chariot is action, movement and the power of commitment in motion. It’s like opposites united, moving forward with intent.

The Charioteer is a prince, a warrior and a man who never gives up. He’s sure, steady and confident of victory.

His home is where he is, on the road or in a castle. The world is in motion and so is he.

The Empress enjoys this position. It’s a chance to get out and see her domain. And she likes how her crown matches her ride.

Venus in Cancer, or the Empress in the clothes of the Charioteer, can be a time of active beauty and love.

It takes courage to create and move past just ideas to what’s actually real. This is a chance to do that, and to do it with joy.

Perseverance and the fortitude to keep going when the road gets rocky are gifts of this cycle. As is the ability to see beauty in even the ugliest of ditches.

Enjoy the ride and don’t give up on anything you really care about. Love conquers all.

Ace of Swords

Looking at things from a new perspective should be easy today – and a good idea. Let inspiration strike, then focus on your goal in order to start bringing about its manifestation. Clear communication and precise thinking will serve you well.

Try to be discerning – which direction will get you closest to your ultimate destination with the least complication? Let outmoded ways of seeing the world fall away. It’s only then that you’ll have room for the new view.

Be positive and proactive – you’re in charge and you can make what you want happen. Start now.

Tarot and Cosmetics

nail polist

I have a huge collection of nail polish, all sorts of colours, in glitters, metallics and satins. And though I don’t always wear it, when I do, I typically choose my colours based on the Tarot.

For instance, I might pick a sky blue to attract the energy of the High Priestess, or scarlet for the Emperor. If I want to feel sword-like, I’ll choose a metallic silver, or a rich green for grounded pentacle power.

Sometimes I let the deck choose, asking ‘what energy could I use today?’ Then I find a colour in the card that’s in my collection (and works with my outfit) and paint it on.

It’s fun, like my fingers and toes become little magic wands. Or at the very least, reminders of the energy I’m trying to manifest.

As you can imagine then, it was a delight to come across this video from a lady who calls herself Singed Momma.

She’s a make-up artist who took inspiration from the Osho Zen Tarot for her Face of the Day eye design.

She used the greens and yellows from the Courage card as her guide, and the results are fabulous. Check it out.
