Dan Donche, creator of the Inappropriate Tarot Readings phenomenon, is doing it again … Darkana Tarot Deck 2.0 is in the works!
The first edition of this deck (which I love) sold out completely, never to be printed again.
Fortunately for those who didn’t get a copy, a second version is being readied for printing right now.
Donche has updated the deck with some colour elements, and bigger font. The amazing imagery though, remains the same – original, amusing, a little dark, and immensely readable.
To see some of the cards, and to read more about the project, visit the Darkana Tarot Deck 2.0 Kickstarter Project page.
You might want to donate and get a copy for yourself. I did!

It’s the Labour Day holiday today and I think I’m going to just hang around.
Not unlike the Hanged Man from my deck with artist Ivan Minsloff …

All playing cards can be used for divining, but Jennifer Kast has gone ahead and designed a playing card deck meant especially for just that.
She’s created the Caravan of See’ers Fortune Telling Playing Cards, two different decks, a Blue one and a Red one.
On the Novice-Blue Deck, she’s written the oracular meanings right on the cards, while just the key word meanings have been inscribed on her Intuitive-Red Deck.
Shadow-like images on the cards also tell a story, one that’s upright, and one that’s reversed.
Both decks, of course, can be used for all of your regular card gaming needs. The only difference is that these cards are a little more overtly oracular than most.
Take a look at the video below to see images of the Red Deck. And visit her Kickstarter project page to learn more about both.

If you’re a Tarot loving fan of musician Amanda Palmer, I think you might be interested in this Kickstarter campaign – The Amanda Palmer Tarot.
It started with one fan posting an Amanda inspired card to a fan forum. Next thing you know, other cards started appearing and a new deck was born.
M.C. Matz has put it all together, and the deck is now ready to print.
You can see some of the cards in the video below. And to learn more about the project, visit The Amanda Palmer Tarot project page.
Though they’ve already raised more than twice the funds they were looking for, copies of the deck are still available for those who donate.

It’s been a while since our last Beyond Worlds show, but tomorrow night we’re back!!
And we’re back with some fabulous guests – Erik C. Dunne and Kim Huggens, creators of the Tarot Illuminati.
This is an absolutely stunning deck, simply gorgeous. It’s rich, colourful, and as promised by its name – full of light.
Kim and Erik will share with us how this beautiful deck came to be and teach us one of the spreads Kim wrote for the (full-colour) companion book.
I’m really looking forward to it and hope you can join Donnaleigh de LaRose and myself live in the chat room, or on the phone at (646) 200-0765.
Please note the special time – Thursday, August 8th, 4:00 pm ET.
And if you miss the show, you can always hear it later in archive.

Take a look at this gorgeous deck – The Portico Tarot by Elizabeth Leggett.
Though she’s already raised more money than she was asking for, you still might want to support the project just to get a set of these cards for yourself.

Here are two (or three depending on how you look at it) Tarot Kickstarter projects you might be interested in supporting.
The first is Nakisha VanderHoeven’s The Badgers Forest Tarot, filled with wild forest animals like deer, bears, boars, goats, and of course badgers.
The second is from Juan Vincent who is making the Trixter and Dwende Tarot, both based on Filipino folklore and the different energies of the Trixter.
Take a look at their videos to see what you think. And you can visit their project pages to learn more.
