Optimism and rejuvenation are the themes for the day. Active generosity and compassion come easy so don’t hold back. Give and you will receive. Embrace the Universe’s capacity to provide you with what you need when you need it most. That’s what miracles are and the Star is the goddess of miracles.
If things have been tough lately, now’s a time when you can finally lean back and take a bit of a break. Surround yourself with as much beauty as you can. It will help to replenish your soul. Art, music, and the glory of the night sky are all worthy subjects of meditation. Let them fill you with the inspiration you need for the next leg of your journey.
It’s St. Andrew’s Day tomorrow! And apparently, if you’re in the market for a marriage partner, tonight’s a great night to do a little love divination.
St. Andrew
Traditions in Poland, parts of Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania hold that St. Andrew’s Eve is especially good for discovering who your next husband will be. Not much is said about guys finding their future partners, but maybe that’s another saint.
On this magical night, everything from bees wax to shoe piles are divining tools. Pouring hot wax in water is said to create shapes with clues to your man. And pouring it through the eye of a large, old style key is considered especially effective.
Then there’s the shoe pile. This one’s usually done at a St. Andrew’s Eve dance with lots of eligible ladies in attendance. Each potential bride puts their right shoe in a pile.
The youngest girl present (and not trying to find a mate) is then blindfolded, spun around several times and pointed in the direction of the footwear. The owner of the shoe she chooses will be the first one to the altar. Or at least that’s what they say.
I haven’t been able to figure out why St. Andrew, brother of St. Peter, founder and first bishop of the Church of Byzantium and patron saint of Scotland, Ukraine, Russia, and Romania is connected to ‘who’s going to be my husband questions.’ But so be it.
Celebrate with enthusiasm! Today is for fun and sharing. Friends are at the forefront, especially the ladies in your life. Good times, good friends, good drink – it could be a pretty excellent day. Don’t be afraid to be happy and remember to let people know how much you like them.
Take delight in music, poetry, painting – this is a time of inspiration and creativity. Social interaction with others will be invigorating and fruitful. Let yourself get carried away by laughter and joy. Seek out the beautiful within yourself and those around you. You won’t be disappointed if you do.
Join us tonight for our 3rd Beyond Worlds Tarot Intensive!! It’s going to be great! We’ll be visiting with the two grand ladies of the Tarot: the Empress and High Priestess.
#2 The High Priestess
All four hosts will be there – Donnaleigh,Storm,Theresa and me. And as usual, we’ve got lots to say.
Get your favorite deck and come along for the ride. We’d love to see you in the chatroom or call in (646) 200-0765 and tell us what you think the High Priestess and Empress are trying to tell us.
You can expect a day of fiery energy and powerful determination. In whatever you do today, you’re encouraged to do it with strength and creativity – in fact it would be hard not to. Within your domain you’re the one in charge, so manifest your will. What have you been wanting to create in your world? Start making it really happen!
While you’re encouraged to take your power and run with it, there is a challenge associated with the Emperor. Remember – not everyone might want to do things your way. Everyone thinks they’re right. Sometimes you have to give a little. If you don’t, don’t be surprised if other people start rearing their own Emperor energy and you’re smack dab in the middle of a fight.
Masculine energy is strongly indicated with the Emperor card and issues surrounding males, especially those in authority are likely during this time. Stay strong and true and you won’t go wrong.
Apparently, Peter from The Family Guy likes people to think he’s psychic, even if he’s not. Funny though he is, could depictions like these make it that much harder for legitimate psychics and Tarot readers to let people they know and love, know what they do?
Join us online in the chatroom, or call in (646) 200-0765 and let us know what you think. We’d love to here your stories. And as always, if you miss the show … it’ll be there for you anytime in archive.
It’s a day to dissolve the fog and start looking at things with fresh and honest eyes. With a commitment to clarity, new ideas and a new sense of authority will be close on the horizon.
Take things in hand and energetically start slicing through any fuzziness you’ve not wanted to look past till now. Are you happy with what you’re seeing? If yes – go forward with strength. If not, figure out what you actually want, re-direct yourself towards it and go forward with strength.
In either case, you need to see things for what they really are before you can intelligently decide what your next step might be. This is no time to fool yourself. It’s a time to take charge, be realistic and be strong.
Asked to create a duet for piano, Thomas Oboe Lee was initially inspired by numerology. He was reading Annemarie Schimmel’s, The Mystery of Numbers, when the number 22 especially drew his eye. That led him to the Tarot deck with its 22 Major Arcana and eventually to the creation of a piano opus dedicated to the cards.
Lee wrote The Visconti-Sforza Tarot Cards (22 Salon Pieces for 2 pianos), Op. 66 in 1996. Each piece was inspired by a different card starting with Il Matto. The Fool entertains the gathered guests with a tarantella, and ending with Il Mondo. The World would be a happier place if we all dance together. It’s like a musical Tarot deck.
Lee just posted this short video of a George Rhoads’ sculpture with his own Il Giudizio. On the Day of Judgement, the angels blow their trumpets… as soundtrack. The pianists are Robert Levin and Ya-Fei Chuang.
You’ve been working hard and the people that matter are starting to take notice. Take pride in doing a good job. You’re becoming a master at your trade. Mastery requires not only technical skill, but also an appreciation for the art in what you do.
When you care about your job or the tasks you’ve taken on, the work involved is rarely a chore. Look at your tasks as the creative processes they are. Whatever you’re doing, you’re creating something, bringing something new into the world. Consider your role as creator with the seriousness it deserves.
You’re becoming very good at what you’ve been working hard on. Congratulations, keep it up.
