High Priestess dressed as Emperor
The Moon moves into Aries today and will stay there until Monday.
Translating this transit into Tarot Cards, it would be like the High Priestess is wearing the Emperor’s clothing. She’s in scarlet and armor and is ready for battle.
The Moon in Aries, or High Priestess in the clothing of the Emperor, is a time of intensified emotions. You might feel an increased desire to shape your own world.
Rather than sitting back in stillness, this transit encourages the loosening of emotional restrictions and the conscious expression of enthusiasm and/or passion.
It might be uncomfortable at first, but allow yourself to speak out loud. Take steps forward to let people know what you know and what you love.
Try to remain objective and open-minded while acting with determination and direction. It might sound impossible, but you can do both if you try.

Be yourself and be it fully. This is a day for you to shine. You know yourself and you’ve been true to your soul. It’s always worth it and now you’re remembering why.
As you harness your energy to create your will, do so with compassion. Remember what you suffered to get to your present state. Have compassion for those that are still struggling. They can use your inspiration, but remember your strength. Be careful not to burn them.
Take pride in your self and your work, but don’t get carried away. You’re most beautiful when you’re humble, while letting your fire soar.

Leavenworth, Kansas
Last week, city commissioners in Leavenworth, Kansas began discussing the possibility of repealing a city ban on fortune-telling that’s been on the books for ages.
Presently, the ordinance states that it is ‘unlawful for any fortuneteller, palmist, phrenologist or clairvoyant to carry on or practice his business, trade or profession within the city.’
Commissioners are considering repealing this law, and instead regulating psychic businesses through licensing, zoning, and possibly criminal background checks.
The whole discussion surrounding the ban came about after a Leavenworth resident requested last December that it be repealed.
The ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri backed up the resident’s request by notifying city officials that psychic speech was protected under the First Amendment.
No decision has yet been made, but further discussion will take place after commissioners have had time to review their options.

#17 – The Star
Optimism and rejuvenation are the themes for the day. Active generosity and compassion come easy so don’t hold back. Give and you will receive.
Embrace the Universe’s capacity to provide you with what you need when you need it most. That’s what miracles are and the Star is the goddess of miracles.
If things have been tough lately, now’s a time when you can finally lean back and take a bit of a break. Surround yourself with as much beauty as you can. It will help to replenish your soul.
Art, music, and the glory of the night sky are all worthy subjects of meditation. Let them fill you with the inspiration you need for the next leg of your journey.

If you’re an American Idol fan, as well as a Tarot fan, Idol Psychics might be just what you’ve been looking for.
As young American singers take to the stage for their shot at stardom, four top Tarot readers and an astrologer will be making calls from the sidelines, saying, ‘yea’, ‘nay’, or ‘I can’t believe what I just saw.’
In fact they keep a running commentary throughout each show, pulling cards and checking the stars on the contestants, the host, judges, and of course the final outcome.
Join the fabulous Corrine Kenner, Donnaleigh de LaRose, Theresa Reed, Sasha Graham, and Sally Blumenfeld in the live chat, or read the blogs and transcripts from shows passed.
American Idol was already great fun, but watching with the Idol Psychics makes it even better.

The Moon moves into Pisces today, and stays there until Friday.
Described in Tarot cards, this transit would be like the High Priestess is dressed as the Moon.
She’s lost her material body and has disappeared into the celestial body that usually rests at her feet.
The Moon in Pisces, or High Priestess dressed as the Moon, is a time of increased perception, ill-defined understanding and what might be described as night vision.
During this time you could find your dreams feel more real than your daylight hours and what’s not said is louder than what is.
Fears might grow like a boogieman under the bed, but if you just take a peek, they’re as likely to be dust bunnies as demons or ghosts.
Be still, aware and fearless. It might be dark outside, but if there was ever a time you can navigate the unknown, this is it. Listen, breathe, flow.

Looking at things from a new perspective should be easy today – and a good idea. Let inspiration strike, then focus on your goal in order to start bringing about its manifestation. Clear communication and precise thinking will serve you well.
Try to be discerning – which direction will get you closest to your ultimate destination with the least complication? Let outmoded ways of seeing the world fall away. It’s only then that you’ll have room for the new view.
Be positive and proactive – you’re in charge and you can make what you want happen. Start now.

New York City’s Carnegie Hall will be hosting a night of Tarot this coming Monday, January 30th.
The performance by Sophia Serghi and Nancy Schoenberger is called The Fool and the World: Nine Meditations on the Major Arcana.
It features original music by Serghi alongside Schoenberger’s poetic interpretations of nine of the 22 Major Arcana.
Each audience member will receive a program containing illustrations of each of the cards from the show, as well as a larger image of one card in particular.
The idea is for the audience members to pay special attention when their card is ‘read’ during the performance. It will be like their own personal message within the grander whole.
What a wonderful idea. This show sounds fantastic. If you’re in New York City, check it out.

It looks like you may have set yourself up just right. You’ve created the space you’re in through determined effort and hard work.
Step by step you’ve manifested your own prosperity and this is a wonderful time to enjoy it. It hasn’t always be easy but the rewards are well worth it.
Be generous with your prosperity, and kind to those that haven’t quite done it yet. People might come to you for practical advice or help. Or maybe it will be you taking that step to approach a kindly soul who could help you.
Don’t hesitate either to help or to ask for help. We’re here for each other and create the most beautiful of worlds when we work together.

Happy New Year!!
It’s the Year of the Dragon, specifically the Year of the Water Dragon.
In Chinese Astrology, the Dragon represents strength, dynamic energy, and inspired leadership. It’s a burning creative force, powerful and intense.
Looking at it from a Tarot perspective, the Dragon sounds a lot like the Emperor who is also full of fire, passion, and a drive to manifest a world of his own.

Adding water to fiery energies as big as these doesn’t squelch them. It just brings them down to a more manageable level, and infuses a little compassion into the mix.
The Water Dragon is more open to emotional exchange and energetic relationship building than some of the other Dragons. And his leadership style is one of benevolence and goodwill.
You might think of him as the Emperor focusing his attention on the suit of Cups. He’s as sure of himself as ever, just more open to the flow than usual.
This new Dragon Year might be wonderful, with spirit and passion being inspired by love. I wish everyone the very best.
Kung Hei Fat Choi – Congratulations and Be Prosperous!!!
