Moon in Capricorn – High Priestess in the Devil's Clothing

The High Priestess dressed as the Devil

The Moon moves into Capricorn today and will stay there until Thursday.

If you were to describe this transit using the Tarot, you might say that the High Priestess is wearing the Devil’s clothing. The virginal goddess has gotten downright beastly.

The Moon in Capricorn, or High Priestess in the Devil’s clothing, is a period of potential internal conflict. The physical world might seem to draw you away from what you typically believe to be right.

You might feel driven or compelled by behaviours and attitudes that go against the grain of your morality. It could be liberating or disturbing, depending on your secrets.

Whatever’s going on though, don’t be too hard on yourself. Get obsessions out of your system, and learn what you can about yourself while you do so.

You should be ready to move on soon. There’s nothing wrong with a little focused physicality. Just don’t get stuck.

Queen of Wands

We just saw her on Wednesday, but the Queen of Wands is back again …

Be yourself and be it fully. This is a day for you to shine. You know yourself and you’ve been true to your soul. It’s always worth it and now you’re remembering why.

As you harness your energy to create your will, do so with compassion. Remember what you suffered to get to your present state. Have compassion for those that are still struggling. They can use your inspiration, but remember your strength. Be careful not to burn them.

Take pride in your self and your work and be the best you can.

Journey of the Food

Take a look at this … a Tarot cookbook!

Debbie Chapnick, creator of the Tarot Tip Sheet and owner of Datura Press, is putting together a cookbook based on the 78 cards of Tarot’s Major Arcana.

Though she’s been reading cards for over 25 years and cooking all of her life, Chapnick says that it was a dream that first prompted her to write the Journey of the Food.

One night, she heard a voice say “the 8 of Swords … that’s a Mississippi Mud Cake” over and over and when she woke up in the morning she knew that she was going to write a cookbook.

And not only did she continue dreaming about recipes and cards, eventually she started dreaming about cards themselves and came up with 78 cards to accompany her 78 (+1 for the dog) recipes.

You can learn more about the project at Chapnick’s IndieGoGo Project page, and maybe even get a copy of the deck and book for yourself.

6 of Cups

It’s a wonderful day to say thank you – to your family, friends, and even your enemies.

Nostalgia and happy memories might fill your head and it’s worth remembering all the love there is around you.  Take pleasure in acknowledging it and grateful to extend it further.

Giving and receiving are two sides of the same joy.  Take pleasure in both and don’t be shy to tell people how much they mean to you.   You’ll probably be surprised by how much they love you back.

With close relationships, this is an especially important time to remember the history and strength of your time together. It’s these ties that have helped you through your most serious moments – both good and bad.

Don’t take them lightly, close friends really are special, and not as common as you might think.
