The Star on Christmas Eve

#17 The Star

It’s Christmas Eve tonight, when according to the story, thousands of years ago an especially bright star shone in the heavens above a manger in Bethlehem.

Three wise men, otherwise described as astrologers, followed the star to the manger and to the little baby Jesus, a newborn star on earth.

I’ve always liked that the Christmas story includes three astrologers bearing magical gifts for a baby.

And as a Tarot reader now, the ‘star’ part of the story is even more significant.

In Tarot, the Star represents hope, dreams and optimism for the future.

It’s the light after the storm, faith after a fall, and the ability to love with universal compassion and deep empathy.

It’s a perfect symbol to hang above the renewed hope of the Nativity, and what an ideal guide for the wise among us.

Whether you’re celebrating Christmas or not, I wish everyone the spirit of the Star tonight.

Shine bright and be love!
