If you’ve been looking for a truly inclusive, gender neutral, queer, and/or feminist Tarot, you might like this fabulous new deck by Noel Arthur Heimpel – The Numinous Tarot.
If you like both cats and cards (as I do myself), you might be interested in this new Spirit Cat Deck by Nicole Piar aka Ghostkitten. It’s more of an inspirational oracle than a Tarot deck, but it looks very sweet.
To see the cards, and hear Piar talk about her deck, take a look at the video below, and/or visit her Kickstarter project page.
Based on the Rider-Waite-Smith card system, this deck incorporates Afro-Caribbean cultural and spiritual references, primarily from Haiti and the Dominican Republic. And they’re really nice!
Curated by Mia Mardikian, Pacific Arcana is a compilation deck featuring the work of 56 different artists, all fans of Pacific Rim. Who would have thought they’d come together to make a Tarot deck? But they did, and it’s pretty nice.
To see all the cards, and to learn more about this very fun deck (and companion book), visit the Pacific Arcana project page.
Here’s a beautiful new Oracle Deck by Célia Melesville called Oracle Des Reflets.
Melesville wasn’t originally trying to make an oracle deck, but was rather just trying out a new art technique involving paper soaked in a mix of walnut stain and water.
Much to her surprise, once the first few sheets of paper were drying, illustrations and symbols began appearing to her and a new deck was born.
Take a look at the video below to see the cards, and visit her project page and/or website to learn more.
