Now here’s a hotel I’d like to stay in …

The W New Orleans in the French Quarter has done some serious renovations.

Inspired by the French Quarter itself, the designers used Jazz, Voodoo, and the Tarot as their muse.

You can see some pictures of the new rooms at the W New Orleans website, my favourite of course being the Queen of Pentacles room.

It’s somewhat odd that they took the five pointed star out of the pentacle the Queen is holding, but I still love that there’s a room with a giant Tarot card on the wall.

If I ever get to New Orleans, I definitely want to stay there. It would only be appropriate that The Tarot Room stays in a Tarot room.

It’s a good time to get to work.  Nothing exciting, just keep moving forward step by step.  It’ll go a lot faster now that you’re seriously on your way.

Enjoy this building process.  You’re making steady progress.  If you keep moving like this, you’ll reach your goals soon.

And if you’re feeling a little dull because all you do is work, work and plan for more work, that’s okay.  That’s what the energy is right now and you might as well go with it.

Creating stability is worth the effort.  There’ll be plenty of time for fun soon enough.

High Priestess as Strength

Translated into Tarot cards, this transit would be like the High Priestess is wearing Strength’s clothing. She’s thrown off her heavy cape and is spending some time outside with her lion.

The Moon in Leo, or High Priestess in Strength’s clothing is potentially a time of emotional power. Something beautiful that’s usually under wraps can finally be revealed.

The silence is broken. Quiet wisdom and passion can be united. During this time, it might be difficult to keep your ideas to yourself. But why should you?

Get down to work. Nothing exciting going on, except maybe the chance to get more done than you thought you would.

Follow the template and don’t worry about being particularly innovative today. It’s probably more important to just get it done.

To motivate yourself try remembering that what you’re working on now is setting you up for your future. Put in the effort and it’ll ultimately pay off.

Wasn’t I just talking about Lenormand decks the other day …

Here’s another Kickstarter project, but this time it’s for a Lenormand rather than for Tarot.

The Under The Roses Lenormand was co-created by Kendra Hurteau and Katrina Hill.

Based on the Petit Lenormand, this very pretty 36-card deck includes an alternate Lady and Gentleman card and 4 informational cards.

On the face of each, there’s not only a picture, but also a list of key words, making it a great deck for beginners and experts alike.
