Again, a visit to Mary K. Greer’s blog brings joy to a Tarot lover’s heart.
Last week, she posted this incredible video of the Russian song Gadalka, or Fortune Teller. I’m crazy about the over-sized cards on the set, and the song itself is fabulous.

Creation and the celebration of the senses are highlighted today. Art, food, music – anything that inspires our physical and emotional selves will inspire you and be well worth the time.
Nurture yourself and others. It’ll probably be hard not to. Nurturance isn’t just a luxury. You need to maintain and even increase your strength in order to create what you’ve been working on. Eat delicious, healthy foods, surround yourself with beauty, take warm, aromatic baths . . . it’s all part of the Empress’ path to creation.
If you’ve been dealing with issues surrounding motherhood, women, or femininity in general, this would be a great day to take a closer look. There’s wonderful energy now to help you resolve issues you might have thought irresolvable.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Fred the Psychic Bunny video.
Though he’s not pulling any cards in this one, he and fellow bunny Awesome are having an interesting little chat about animal totems. As might be expected, their focus is on rabbits.
And there’s no surprise either that Fred describes them as pretty wonderful.
Among other gifts, Rabbit totems bring with them love, abundance, spontaneity, and the ability to listen.

High Priestess as Justice
The Moon moved into Libra today, and will stay there until Tuesday.
Looking at this transit through the lens of the Tarot, it would be like the High Priestess is wearing Justice’s clothing. She takes on the mantle of the Karmic Decider.
With the High Priestess as Justice, or the Moon in Libra, we might be required to face up to something and decide.
Our emotions will demand respect. If we’ve leaned too far back or forward, we’ll probably find ourselves moving just as dramatically the other way.
It can be a slightly challenging period, perhaps a little manic. But by the time it’s done, something is likely to have been decided upon.
Don’t be alarmed by conflicting emotions. They’re there because you can see both sides. It’s not good enough though to just acknowledge them and walk away.
During this transit you’re being asked to take a stand one way or another. And you’ve got the wisdom and power to do so.

Magician as Justice
Mercury moves in Libra today and will stay there until October 5th.
Looking at this transit from a Tarot perspective, it’s like the Magician is wearing Justice’s clothing. He’s put down his wands and taken up the scales and sword.

#15 – The Devil
Don’t be frightened by the Devil but certainly take him seriously. He’s no lightweight. He is earth – the deepest and darkest part of it and he plays hard.
He is physicality, materiality, reality. He’s in the world of the senses unhindered by the spirit or the mind. He is what we can see, hear, smell, touch and taste and when he’s around it’s hard to get enough.
Obsessive behaviour is highlighted today – what’s yours? You’re probably fixated on something – good or bad?
Sex, drugs and wild living might be obvious places to look, but could your obsession be something you don’t even notice because it’s an ‘acceptable’ addiction. Maybe too much study, work, an unrelenting compulsion to make money, an obsession with being ‘right’?
Once you’ve found your mania, take a look to see if it’s a problem or not. It’s up to you to decide when you’ve had or done enough. Sometimes you need to obsess for things to really happen. Or are you just making excuses?
Watch for a feeling of disjointedness within yourself. Does it feel like your spirit is in sync with your conscious behaviour or are you wrestling your ideals to fit with what you’re actually doing?
Love, live and laugh hard today but pay attention to whether or not you’re actually doing what you need to be doing. You’re the only one who can chain or unchain yourself to anything.

It’s taken me a few weeks to get my photos from BATS 2012 together, but here they are!
Don’t be alarmed by the ones of Dan Pelletier in a straight-jacket. I can assure you he went into it of his own accord and impressively managed to wiggle his way free.
The whole event was a grand success. Thank you Thalassa and the Daughters of Divination!
I’m already looking forward to next year.
